Hard Rock Stadium Parking

Hard Rock Stadium (Sun Life Stadium) is home to the Miami Dolphins NFL AFC team in Miami, Florida. The arena is out on 347 Don Shula Dr, Miami Gardens, FL 33056. The stadium is also home to the Miami Hurricanes, The Orange Bowl, concerts, many Super Bowls, and more all year around.

Here are the parking tips at Hard Rock Stadium.

Official Park at the Stadium

If you plan to park in the Hard Rock Stadium parking lots, you can expect to pay around $30 for the cheapest parking.

Is There RV Parking at Hard Rock Stadium?

I got confirmation from the staff at Hard Rock Stadium that there is no longer RV parking at the venue as of 12-20-2023. There may have been a time where fans could bring their RV to the game, but that is no longer an option. Fans can’t buy any RV parking ahead of time on TicketMaster or any type of website.

Also, I had a fan reach out to me about if their vehicle that is 20 feet long can park in the orange section for tailgating. The official statement from Hard Rock Stadium is below.

Yes, you can park in any of the Orange or Yellow lots as they allow tailgating. Be aware that due to the size of your vehicle, you will have a smaller tailgating space and you may not use the surrounding spaces to compensate for the space your vehicle takes up.

Hard Rock Stadium Accessible Parking

There are ADA parking spaces for fans to use when coming to Dolphins Stadiums for NFL games and events. ADA parking lots are at gate A, C, E, and G at the football arena. Dolphins’ fans need to present a valid parking pass and state license plate to leave their vehicle in the parking lots.

If you have any questions on where the accessible parking spaces are, you can ask the parking staff working the event.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

Can you Bring Outside Food into Hard Rock Stadium

Fans looking to take public transportation to Don Shula Drive (Dolphins Stadium) can use local bus routes to and from the city. The bus lines and routes that have stops near the stadium are 99 and 297. Route 297 from Earlington Height Station will bring fans directly to the stadium. This bus service operates two hours before kick-off and two hours after the final whistle.

In addition to taking the bus, fans can also use a rideshare program like Uber or Lyft to get to the venue as well. Rideshare picks up, and drop-offs and pick ups happen in Gate 4 and lot 14. It’s about a 30 minute Uber or Lyft drive from South Beach where the Miami Heat play, so not bad if you are staying in that area.

Can you Tailgate at the Stadium?

how much is parking at hard rock stadium

Tailgating in the orange and yellow lots is part of the fan experience when coming to a Dolphins football game at the venue. Parking lots open four hours before kick-off, so it’s best to arrive early and take part in the tailgating festivities in the parking lots. One tip is to get to the stadium parking lots early to set up your tailgating area with friends.

Check out the Hard Rock Stadium food guide before entering the stadium! Also, be sure to visit the Hard Rock Stadium Bag Policy guide to see what you can bring into the venue.

  1. what is the best place for RV parking? and can advanced passes be purchased for RV parking?

  2. Hey Brian,

Thanks for reaching out to me. That link I have (https://am.ticketmaster.com/dolphins/DolphinsIndividualParking) does not offer RV parking passes to purchase in advance. https://www.hardrockstadium.com/parking/dolphins/

I found this site that discusses RV parking at Hard Rock Stadium in more detail. I’ll leave a link + one of the better comments I can see about RV parking. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f38/hard-rock-stadium-dolphins-panthers-game-618585.html

They do have an RV parking area on game day. Gate opens at 9:00 AM. I am a season ticket holder and have an RV parking pass. The last few years they have used the south end of Lot 13. I don’t think they will change this year. We get about a dozen RVs. Even if they did allow overnight I would not recommend staying alone in that area. Probably not safe and nothing around except the stadium.

In terms of RV parking close by (20-30 minute drive with traffic) you can try Yacht Haven in Fort Lauderdale (upscale) or Markham Park (low scale).

  3. Also, as a heads up, I got official confirmation from the staff at Hard Rock Stadium that they no longer have RV parking as of 12-20-2023.

  4. Greg, Thank you so much for getting the clarification. I am sorry to have missed your calls, I texted you with an explanation. Once again I am Thankful for your service and your kindness.

  5. No problem! Glad that we were able to confirm that Hard Rock Stadium no longer has RV parking. Enjoy the game!

  6. What do you mean by no rv parking? I have a gmc savana about 20 feet long. I do not need any accomodation. Can i park in the orange section ? If I cant, where should i park to be able to enjoy tailgating?

  7. Hey Ben, I reached out to the Guest Experience Department at Hard Rock stadium on December 20th, 2023 asking them about RV parking and they said this.

    Hi Greg,
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we do not allow RV parking at the stadium. Hope this helps!

  8. Hey Ben,

I heard back from my contact at Hard Rock Stadium Parking. This is what they said about your GMC Savana.

Yes, you can park in any of the Orange or Yellow lots as they allow tailgating. Be aware that due to the size of your vehicle, you will have a smaller tailgating space and you may not use the surrounding spaces to compensate for the space your vehicle takes up.
