Hard Rock Stadium Bag Policy

Hard Rock Stadium Bag Policy

Hard Rock Stadium is home to the NFL Miami Dolphins and the NCAA Miami Hurricanes teams. Hard Rock Stadium has a clear bag policy in place that enables fans to bring in clear totes that don’t exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Fans can also bring in non-clear small clutch purses on game day that don’t exceed 4.5” x 6.5”, but besides that, only clear bags can enter the venue.

Here is the complete Hard Rock Stadium bag policy guide for your next football game, concert, or event.

How Does the Hard Rock Stadium Security Staff Review Bags?

How Does the Hard Rock Stadium Security Staff Review Bags

Fans coming out for a Miami Dolphins Game in Miami will first go through a metal detector check at the gate before scanning their ticket. Fans with a bag will undergo an additional security check at the entrance. The security staff at the gates strictly enforce the stadium clear bag policy, so any traditional backpacks can’t come inside the venue with fans. Assuming there are no problems with your clear bag or the items inside, you will get it back to enter the stadium for the game.

Consider purchasing a clear single-compartment bag for your next event at Hard Rock Stadium! Hard Rock Stadium has a strict clear bag policy for all fans to follow. Therefore, the only bags the stadium security staff will allow inside the venue are clear bags. The only exceptions to this rule are small clutches that don’t exceed 4.5” x 6.5” and any medical bags. Below are the bags that can come into the Miami football stadium.

  • A transparent, vinyl, or PVC single-compartment bag no bigger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • A one-gallon size freezer bag/clear plastic bag
  • Medical bags
  • A small clutch bag

Is There a Locker or Bag Check Area at Hard Rock Stadium?

Is There a Locker or Bag Check Area at Hard Rock Stadium

If your bag can’t come into Hard Rock Stadium for any reason, don’t worry; there is a Guest Experience bag check area at the East and Southwest Pedestrian parking lot. The bag check goes for $15 in 2023 per bag. This area operates on a first come and first served basis, so plan to arrive at the football game two hours before kickoff to leave your bag in this area at the stadium. Using this bag check area works great for fans using a rideshare program to get to and from the venue who don’t have a car to leave their stuff in.

If you plan to partake in tailgating in the parking lots at Hard Rock Stadium, consider leaving those bags in your car before heading to the arena. The Miami Dolphin security team does not allow coolers and backpacks into the venue, so plan to put all of those back in your car before heading to the game.

Parking and Food Information for the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes

Fans coming to the South Florida football stadium for an NFL game, Orange Bowl match, or something else can expect to pay somewhere between $15-50 for a parking spot. Parking rates vary depending on the event you are seeing. For example, a playoff game will be more expensive than a regular season match. Check out the Hard Rock Stadium Parking guide for more details.

Guests can only bring outside food into the venue if it is for medical or dietary reasons. If that is the case, like bringing baby food and formula, put that into a clear plastic bag. Putting that into a clear bag will help the security team review it at the gate.
