SoFi Stadium Bag Policy

SoFi Stadium is home to two NFL teams, the LA Chargers, and the LA Rams, at 1001 Stadium Dr, Inglewood, CA 90301. SoFi Stadium has a clear bag policy allowing fans to bring in a clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Traditional backpacks, suitcases, and coolers can’t come into the stadium with fans. The only exception to the clear bag rule is if fans want to bring in small clutch bags that don’t exceed 4” x 6” in size.

Approved Bags

SoFi Stadium, like other NFL venues, only allows clear single-compartment bags inside the venue. The only exceptions to the clear bag rule are for small clutch bags not exceeding 4” x 6” in size. Below are the approved bags via the SoFi bag policy for a game or concert.

 

• A clear tote bag that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
• A one-gallon clear plastic bag / clear plastic freezer bag
• Fanny pack that is clear
• A small clutch bag / small purse that does not exceed 4” x 6”
• Any ADA-specific bag

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

I’ve never had a problem getting my clear fanny pack through any bag inspection for a football game. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size, which puts it far below what most football venues have in place. Second, the bag itself is clear, so it passes the clear bag policy rule. Third, I don’t mind wearing this fanny pack across my chest when I’m at games, which is important to me since it is not too bulky.

How Does the SoFi Stadium Security Team Review Bags?

Fans going to SoFi Stadium for an NFL game or other event will undergo a metal detector screening at the gate. Fans with a bag with them will go through a bag inspection by the security team at the entrance gate. SoFi Stadium has a strict clear bag policy, so traditional backpacks or laptop bags can’t enter the stadium. Assuming your bag is clear, is no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, and contains no prohibited items, you can bring it inside the NFL venue.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into SoFi Stadium?

Fans attending a game or event at SoFi Stadium should know that certain items are prohibited inside the stadium. Some things the security staff won’t allow inside the arena are below. To be on the safe side, visit the official prohibited items list of SoFi Stadium to see all of the items that can’t come into the venue. The venue updates its list throughout the season, so make sure nothing has changed before you go to the game.

 

• Non-clear single-compartment bags. (Backpacks, coolers, briefcases, duffle bags, diaper bags, seat cushions, luggage bags, camera bags, and more.)
• Clear bags that exceed the size of 12” x 6” x 12”
• Air horns and other noisemakers
• Animals not for ADA purposes
• Brooms
• Laptops and tablets
• Strollers
• Umbrellas
• Outside food and alcohol. (As a note, baby and medical food can enter the venue. If you plan to bring this to the LA venue, please put that in a clear plastic bag. Putting those items in a clear bag helps the security team review them at the gate.)

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Option at SoFi Stadium?

SoFi Stadium offers a bag valet option for fans who can’t bring their bag into the venue. There is a fee to leave your bag in this area if you plan to use it. If you have any questions on event day where this area is, you can ask the team members working outside the stadium or at the entrance gate where to go.

 

If you plan to partake in tailgating in the parking lots before an NFL game, consider leaving your bag in your car before walking to the venue. Traditional backpacks and coolers can’t come into the venue for any event.
