My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

I bring my clear fanny pack to football games when I need to bring a bag with me. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is far below the size limit that most venues have. Second, the bag itself is clear, so it passes the clear bag check the stadiums enforce today. Third, from a personal note, I find my bag to not be too bulky.

How Does NRG Stadium Review Your Bag?

Guests coming to the NFL stadium in Houston, Texas, will go through a metal detector upon entering the arena. If you have a bag with you, the security team will review that individually. The bag inspection includes reviewing the inside, outside, and content within the bag to ensure it follows the venue’s guidelines. If there are any issues with your bag (or belongings), you won’t be able to bring them into the arena.

 

What Items Can’t You Bring into NRG Stadium?

• Outside food and beverages (As a note, stadium security can make exceptions to this rule if you need to bring in something for medical reasons)

 

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter NRG Stadium?

If your bag is too big to enter the facility, you can bring it back to your car and get back in line to enter the venue. Placing your belongings in your vehicle is best if you drive and park near the NFL stadium for your game or event.

 

If you don’t have a car to put your belongings in, your next best option is to see if a nearby hotel will hold onto your stuff. Multiple hotels are within walking distance of the Houston Texans stadium to check out. Most hotels charge a small fee to hold onto your belongings if they have space in their storage room at the guest check-in area.
