M&T Bank Stadium Bag Policy

M&T Bank Stadium is home to the Baltimore Ravens NFL team at 1101 Russell St, Baltimore, Maryland, 21230, next to Camden Yards. The clear bag policy at M&T Bank Stadium allows fans to bring clear bags that don’t exceed 12” x 6” x” 12” into the venue. The exception to the clear bag policy rule is that fans can also bring small clutch bags/wristlets into the venue.

Here is the complete M&T Bank Stadium bag policy guide for your next football game! I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

NFL venues across the league all have the clear bag policy, which means getting a bag for a Ravens game gets you into more NFL stadiums too. Below are the bags fans can bring into the NFL arena for a game or concert.

  • A clear single-compartment tote bag that does not exceed 12” x 6” x” 12”
  • One-gallon clear plastic bag, freezer bag, or something similar. As a note, you can put outside food into a clear plastic bag to bring in for an NFL game.
  • ADA-specific bags
  • A clear fanny pack
  • Blankets
  • Seat cushions that have no zipper or back
  • A small clutch bag

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

The Bag I Recommend

I’ve been to several football stadiums with my clear fanny pack, and I have had no problems getting that through the bag check process. My clear fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size, so it is far below the max size limit that venues have today. Second, the bag is clear, so it also passes the clear bag check. Third, from my own experience, I like bringing my fanny pack to stadiums since it is easy to wear and it is not bulky.

Below is a video of me going into why I recommend this type of bag in more detail.

How Does the M&T Bank Stadium Security Staff Review Bags?

How Does the M&T Bank Stadium Security Staff Review Bags

Fans arriving at M&T Bank Stadium for a Baltimore Ravens home game will go through a metal detector screening at the gate before entering the arena. Fans who have a bag with them will have that go through a bag inspection check at the gate. The bag inspection reviews the size of the bag and the content inside of it. If there are no problems with your bag or the items inside, you will get it back to enter the stadium for your event.

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at M&T Bank Stadium?

There is no official locker storage area at M&T Bank Stadium for fans to use if they can’t bring their bag into the venue. If you can’t bring your bag into the NFL stadium, your best bet is to bring it back to your car and leave it inside.

If you plan to tailgate before a football game in the parking lots and have coolers and backpacks with you, plan to leave them inside your car before walking to the venue. As a reminder, M&T Bank Stadium only allows clear bags to enter the venue, so traditional backpacks and coolers can’t enter the arena with fans. However, take them to the parking lots for tailgating before kickoff since there are no issues.

Finally, if you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if a nearby hotel or bar can watch your stuff. There are plenty of hotels and bars throughout Baltimore within walking distance of the NFL venue that you can visit. Most places charge a few dollars per bag to hold onto it if they have the space in their storage closet. However, be aware that hotels and bars only have a finite amount of space to watch bags for fans. Therefore, if possible, try and get to a hotel or bar a few hours before kickoff to get a space for your bag.
