Levi’s Stadium Bag Policy

Levi’s Stadium is home to the San Francisco 49ers NFL team at 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara, CA 95054. Levi’s Stadium has a clear bag policy guideline that allows completely transparent bags to enter the stadium as long as they don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. That means clear backpacks, clear fanny packs, clear single compartment bags, and clear purses can all enter the venue, as long as they don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″.

Approved Bags

Levi’s Stadium, along with other NFL venues, adopts the clear bag policy. That means that, for the most part, the only bags that can enter the venue have to be clear. The exceptions to the clear bag rule are for things like diaper bags or any ADA-specific bag. Below are approved bags that can enter the venue on game day.

 

• A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• A clear backpack
• 1-gallon size freezer bag/clear plastic bag
• Clear purses
• Clear fanny packs
• Medical bags, Diaper Bags, and any ADA-specific bag
• Seat cushion
• A small clutch bag

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation

While I have not been to Levi’s Stadium for a game, I have had community members who have. They have stated to me that the staff only allows clear single compartment bags to enter the venue. Since I’ve been to numerous football venues that have the same bag policy in place, I recommend bringing a clear fanny pack to the venue for a few reasons.

 

• The fanny pack is clear, so it follows the clear bag policy rule
• My fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is far below the size limit of most venues
• The bag itself is easy to wear across my chest

How Does the Levi’s Stadium Security Staff Review Bags?

Fans coming out to Levi’s Stadium for a sporting event or concert will pass through a metal detector screening before scanning their ticket to enter the stadium. Fans who have a bag with them will go through an additional security inspection of their bag from the staff’s security team. The bag inspection consists of inspecting if the bag is clear, is not too large, and does not contain any prohibited items. If there are no problems with your bags or the things inside, you will get them back to enter the arena for your event.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into the San Francisco 49ers Venue?

Fans coming to watch a football game or concert at the 49ers venue must be aware that certain items can’t come into the arena. Some things that the security staff working at the arena won’t allow inside are below. Is There a Locker or Bag Check Area at Levi’s Stadium?

If your bag can’t enter Levi’s Stadium, there are bag check areas at Gates A, C, and F to use. As a note, these bag check areas operate on a first come and first served basis, so plan to get to the venue two hours before kickoff to get your bag checked in this area.

 

If you partake in tailgating in the parking lots before a football game or stadium event and have bags with you, consider leaving them in your car before heading to the stadium. The stadium security staff has a strict clear bag rule, so regular backpacks can’t enter the stadium. The same goes for coolers and mesh bags that can’t enter the venue.
