Dodger Stadium Bag Policy

Dodger Stadium is the Major League Baseball home to the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1000 Vin Scully Ave, Los Angeles, California 90012. The clear bag policy at the venue permits fans to bring in a single compartment clear bag no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ in size.

Approved Bags

Below are the different types of bags that fans can bring into Dodgers Stadium for a game. As a reminder, the single compartment clear bag can’t exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″ in size. However, there are minor exceptions to the clear bag rule as you can see below.

 

• ADA-approved bags
• Medical bags
• A clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
• Clutches and purses that don’t exceed 5″ x 8″ x 2″
• A clear tote bag or drawstring bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
• A clear fanny pack

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

Dodger Stadium has a similar bag policy to most places I’ve been to. Therefore, my clear fanny pack that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ won’t have any issues getting into the stadium. In fact, I’ve yet gone to a venue where they have not allowed my clear fanny pack to enter with me. I’ve brought this clear fanny pack to numerous MLB venues over the years without any issues, so I always recommend it to people looking to bring a bag to the game.

How Does Dodger Stadium Review Your Bag?

There are metal detectors that fans need to go through before scanning their ticket on game day at Dodger Stadium. Fans with a bag will have the stadium security inspect the inside and outside of it to ensure it fits within their size guide. Also, the stadium security will review the items inside the bag to see if any are prohibited.

 

What Items Can’t You Bring into the LA Dodger Stadium?

Dodger fans should be aware that there are numerous items that they can’t bring into the venue for fan safety reasons. Below are some of the most prominent things stadium security won’t allow you to enter at the gate entrances. Check out MLB’s prohibited items source to see the list of things that can’t enter the stadium.

 

• Alcoholic beverages
• Any bag that exceeds 12″ X12″ X6″. However, there are exceptions if it is for a medical reason.
• Weapons of any kind
• Coolers
• Thermoses
• Glass bottles
• Fireworks
• Drones

 

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the LA Dodger Ballpark?

If your bag is too big to enter Dodger Stadium, there are lockers in the parking Lot G that are beyond the centerfield gates where the Dodger Express bus area goes to Union Station. These lockers come on a first-come and first-served basis, so plan to arrive early to the MLB ballpark if you have a concern your bag won’t be allowed inside. If you drive to the stadium and your bag is too big to enter the venue, you can leave it in your car before returning to the stadium.
