How Does the Bridgestone Arena Security Staff Review Bags?

How Does the Bridgestone Arena Security Staff Review Bags

Fans coming out to Bridgestone Arena for a hockey game or another event will go through a metal detector screening at the entrance before heading into the arena. Fans with a bag will have that pass through a bag check inspection by the security staff at the gate. That bag inspection reviews the type of bag, if the bag is clear, and if it contains any prohibited items inside it. Assuming that you have an approved bag that is clear and does not contain prohibited items, the stadium security team will return it to you.

Buy a clear single-compartment bag for your next Nashville Predators game! Bridgestone Arena only allows clear single-compartment bags that don’t exceed 12” x 12” into the arena for games and concerts. The only exception to the clear bag rule is if you bring in a small purse or parental/ medical bag. Below are the types of bags that fans can bring inside the arena.

  • A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″
  • A one-gallon size freezer bag/clear plastic bag/Ziploc bag
  • Clear single-compartment drawstring bags/tote bag
  • A clear medical bag / parental bag (These types of bags don’t need to be clear, but consider bringing in one to help the security team review it and not have any issues at the gate.)
  • A clear diaper bag
  • Any ADA-specific bag
  • A clear fanny pack
  • A small clutch bag / small clutch purse

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Bridgestone Arena?

If your bag can’t come into Bridgestone Arena for a hockey game, concert, or other event, leave it in your car. Traditional backpacks, coolers, and luggage can’t come into the venue with you, so plan to leave all of those in your vehicle.

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in for the game, see if a nearby hotel or bar can watch your belongings. As a heads up, Broadway in Nashville is a popular destination for all sorts of events, so plan to go about two blocks (or more) away from the main strip to see if a place can watch your stuff. Going two blocks or more away from Bridgestone Arena and Broadway will make it easier to get your things after a game since there won’t be a crowd of people going to the nearby bar or hotel after the game.
