Tropicana Field is the ballpark home of the Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball team out in Florida. The address of the venue is at 1 Tropicana Dr, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 St Petersburg. Outside of hosting MLB games, the venue also accommodates other events throughout the year.
Here is the guide to Tropicana Field parking lots below.
How Much is Tropicana Field Parking?
There are plenty of parking lots that surround the stadium. Fans should expect to pay about $20 or so for a parking spot in the official parking lots. However, the parking rates can increase when the Tampa Bay Rays are in the playoffs.
As a note, I found parking rates on Park Mobile going for about $17 for a non-MLB even in 2024. The parking option is about a half mile away from the venue. You can use this link to see the unofficial parking options around Tropicana Field.
Is there Handicap Parking at Tropicana Field?
There is handicap parking at Tropicana Field for Rays MLB home games. Lots 1 and 7 have wheelchair accessible parking spaces for fans to use when coming to the stadium. In addition to ADA parking, fans can use Gate to drop off guests before a baseball game. Lots 1 and 7 also offer pick up and drop offs, so consider using that if you can’t find handicap parking spaces. Finally, fans will need to present a valid handicap parking pass or placard to leave their vehicles in these spaces.
Where is RV Parking?
Fans can expect to pay double the general parking rate for RV parking for a Rays game. RV and camper parking is on 2nd Avenue S, which is between 9th and 10th street. The parking attendants working at the event can help direct you on where you need to go if you have any questions.
Is there Tailgating at Tropicana Field?
There is tailgating in the parking lots at Tropicana Field for fans to enjoy before game time. You can find Rays fans using grills, coolers, chairs, tables, games and more before the first pitch in the parking lots.
In addition to tailgating in the parking lots, fans also visit the local bars before each game. Some local bars to visit include McAuley’s Pub, St. Pete Axe & Ale, Ferg’s Sports Bar and Grill, and The Burg Bar and Grill.
Check out the Tropicana Field Food guide before entering the stadium to see what is on the menu! Also, be sure to visit the Tropicana Field Bag Policy guide as well.
Should I Take Public Transportation?
Fans can use the SunRunner and Baseball Loop Trolley to get to and from Tropicana Field. Here are two links to each service if you want to learn more about either. Also, be sure to visit this link to see where both of these public transportation options will drop you off for a game.

From my experience, the best way to get to Tropicana Field via public transportation in St Petersburg is to use Uber or Lyft. Unfortunately, Tropicana Field is on the other side of the bay, so it’s not easy to get to from downtown Tampa. The official drop off location is the general lot 7 area.
Greg Kristan, owner of The Stadium Reviews, LLC and TM Blast, LLC, brings his extensive experience visiting over half of the MLB ballparks, along with numerous MLS, NHL, NBA, and NFL venues, to provide in-depth coverage on the bag policy, food options, and parking. He has also been interviewed about his experiences on several sports podcasts.

Where csn I purchase parking at Tropicana Field?
Thank you!
Hey John,
Thanks for reaching out to me. My affiliate partner, SpotHero, does not have any parking at Tropicana Field. However, I found that Park Mobile has parking going for $17 for that event that is about a half mile away. Not sure what the prices are now at Tropicana Field for 2024, but this may be your best option if you are looking to save some money https://app.parkmobile.io/venues/tropicana-field/events/198053
Also, if you don’t mind, can you let me know what the official parking rates are going for directly at Tropicana Field when you get to the venue? I went there a few times in 2019, so I’m sure the parking rates have only increased.
Thanks!
