Golden 1 Center is the new home to the Sacramento Kings NBA team. The arena’s address sits out on 500 David J Stern Walk, Sacramento, CA 95814. In addition to basketball games, you can find many concerts and events at the venue too.
Here are the parking tips for Golden 1 Center for your next event.
Official Parking around Golden 1 Center
There are parking lots that are directly next to Golden 1 Center to use on gameday. Parking rates will vary on price depending on what event you are seeing. Visit the team’s official parking page for the most up to date information and the Golden 1 Center parking map.
My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero
I’ve been using SpotHero for years to save money on parking. The app and website are simple to use. You click on the “find parking” section at the top and your purchase where you want to park at for your game. After you put in your information and purchase the parking spot, you simply show up to that garage and scan your barcode at the garage either getting in or leaving.
From my experience, I tend to save about 30% on parking compared to the lots that are directly next to the arena.
Golden 1 Handicap Parking Spots
Handicap parking is available for all fans to use at L Street. The distance from L Street to the arena to the venue is .2 miles way, so it’s very close. Fans will need to present a valid placard and handicap parking pass to leave their cars in these ADA spots. In addition to handicap parking, fans can use J 7 6th Street to drop off fans. The drop off area at the venue is at L & 6th Street. If there are any questions on where to drop off fans, you can ask the friendly parking staff at the venue.
Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?
There is no tailgating in the parking lots at the venue, but you can head downtown to the bars before the game. Popular bars include Fizz, Flatstick Pub, Trophy Club, and Malt and Mash. In addition to those bars, fans can also check out Tiger, Kodaiko Ramen & Bar, and Henry’s Lounge too.
Check out the Golden 1 Center Food guide to know what is on the menu! Also, be sure to visit the Golden 1 Center Bag Policy Guide to see what you can and can’t bring into the arena.
Should I Take Public Transportation?
Fans looking to use public transportation to get to and from the game can use the SacRT. The SacRT is Sacramento’s light rail and bus service that brings fans one block from the venue.
In addition to the light rail, fans can use a rideshare program like Uber and Lyft to get to and from the game. The official drop-off and pick-up rideshare zones are at J Street, I Street, and 4th Street.
