FedEx Field (previously Jack Kent Stadium) is home to the Washington Commanders team. The arena is out on 1600 FedEx Way, Landover, MD 20785. Outside of hosting NFL games, FedEx Field has numerous concerts and other events year round for fans to enjoy.
Here are the FedEx Field Parking tips for your next event.
Official Parking at the Stadium
There are numerous parking options around FedEx Field to use on gameday. Parking rates will vary depending on the game or event that is taking place at the stadium. Here is a link to the official parking map of the venue so you can see where the parking options are located.
If you want to purchase the official primary parking at the stadium, you can visit this link from SeatGeek to get started.
My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero
I recommend any fan going to the game to compare the prices on SpotHero before buying parking for the game. I’ve been using SpotHero for years and tend to find cheaper parking options on this website and app than the official parking lots advertise. The only downside to using SpotHero is that where you park may end up being a block or two away from the venue. However, the savings from parking in these areas may be worth it, especially if the parking rates at the stadium are expensive.
FedEx Field Accessible Parking Spots
There are ADA parking spaces for fans to use when coming to the Redskins Stadium for any event. The Gray Lot on Brightseat Road offers accessible parking for fans to use and sits close to the stadium. Redskins fans will need to show a valid parking pass and state-issued license plate to leave their vehicle in the parking lots.
Finally, handicap parking options for games are at a first-come-first-served basis, so reserve your parking with SpotHero above.
Can you Tailgate at FedEx Field?
Tailgating is part of the fan experience when coming to a Redskins football game. Fans can use grills, coolers, tables, chairs, and more in their parking spaces for tailgating. Fans looking for additional space for tailgating can use the back of the parking lots. The purple, Orange, Green, Gray, Platinum, Limo, and Bus / RV lots open four hours before the game.
Check out the FedEx Field Food guide before you enter the stadium! Also, be sure to visit the FedEx Field Bag Policy Guide to see what bags you can bring into the venue.
Should I Take Public Transportation?
Fans looking to take public transportation to the stadium can use the Metro to get to the stadium. Commanders’ fans can take the blue line to Morgan Boulevard Metro Station and then walk a mile to the venue. You can also use the local bus routes 22 and F14 to get to the stadium from the city.
In addition to the bus, fans can also use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the venue. The rideshare lot is at the Prince George’s County Sports Complex at 8001 Sheriff Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785. The rideshare lots are a half-mile walk to the venue, so it’s convenient and easy to get to.
