Sutter Health Park is home to the Sacramento River Cats Triple-A Minor League Baseball team for the Oakland Athletics MLB squad. The bag policy at the venue is that fans can bring in one clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ 12″ in size. That means a clear single-compartment backpack, fanny pack, and tote bags can come into the venue with fans. Also, fans can bring a small clutch bag into the ballpark that does not exceed 5″ x 8″ with a clear bag.

How Does the Sutter Health Park Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at Sutter Health Park for a Minor League Baseball game will pass through a security checkpoint before scanning their ticket for the game. Fans with a bag with them will have that go through its own security inspection at the gate by a staff member. The staff member will review the inside and outside of the bag and its content. If they find any issues with your bag or things inside of it, they won’t allow it to enter the ballpark for a game.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Sutter Health Park?

Sutter Health Park has a list of objects that fans can’t bring into the stadium for a baseball game. Below are some things the security team won’t allow in the ballpark during the security inspection at the gate. Visit the team’s guide section on their website for the most up-to-date prohibited items that can’t come into the ballpark.

 

• Clear single-compartment bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Non-clear traditional bags
• Noisemakers
• Weapons of any kind
• Animals not for ADA purposes
• Outside alcohol
• Coolers
• Laser pointers
• Drugs
• Glass bottles
• Selfie sticks
• Skateboards
• Beach balls
• Outside food and drinks. However, there are exceptions to this rule. For example, you can bring baby food, juice boxes, or a factory-sealed water bottle to the game. Also, you can bring small food options, like a small bag of peanuts or seeds, into the game. Otherwise, all traditional outside food and drinks can’t enter the venue.

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Sutter Health Park?

Sutter Health Park does not offer any locker storage unit for fans to use to leave their bags when attending a game there. Therefore, if the security team doesn’t allow your bag to enter the stadium with you, you will need to bring it back to your car and leave it there.

 

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if a nearby hotel or restaurant can watch it while you are at the game. If a hotel or bar can hold onto your bag for you, plan on paying a bag-holding fee. Hotels and bars generally charge a bag-holding fee since they have limited space to hold on bags at their establishment for long periods.

There are parking lots that surround the ballpark that fans use on game day. Parking operates on a first-come and first-served basis, so plan to arrive 1-2 hours before the first pitch to get a spot. Also, parking rates vary, but you can expect to pay around $10 for a spot.

 

Fans can only bring small bags of peanuts or sunflower seeds into the venue for food. For drinks, fans can bring one factory-sealed water bottle into the venue. Otherwise, all traditional types of outside food and drinks can’t come into the ballpark with fans.
