Stade Saputo Bag Policy

Stade Saputo is the soccer stadium home of the Major League Soccer team, CF Montreal, at Olympic Park at 4750 R. Sherbrooke E, Montréal, QC H1V 3S8, Canada. The bag policy at Saputo Stadium for a soccer game or another event is that single-compartment bags that don’t exceed 14″ x14″ x6″ can enter the facility. The bag types that can enter the facility include small purses, diaper bags, fanny packs, and crossbody bags.

Here is the complete Stade Saputo bag policy guideline for your next home game at the venue. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

While Stade Saputo does not currently have a clear bag policy rule, more MLS venues do, which means Montreal might follow shortly. Therefore, getting a clear bag for your game is in your best interest to avoid issues if or when the rules change. Below are the bags that can enter the Montreal soccer stadium.

  • A clear single-compartment bag that is no larger than 14″ x14″ x6″
  • Medical/Diaper bags
  • A clear fanny pack
  • A small crossbody bag
  • A small fanny pack
  • Any ADA-specific bag

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

Saputo Stadium has a similar clear bag policy as other places I’ve been to. Since I’ve never had an issue getting my clear fanny pack into venues, I imagine the same would be the case for Saputo Stadium. My clear fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it tends to be much smaller than the max size limit that venues allow fans to bring. Also, I like a fanny pack because it is easy to wear, it is not bulky, and mine has two different compartments to store my things in.

Below is a video of me explaining why I recommend this type of bag for games.

Consider purchasing a single-compartment clear bag for your next CF Montreal soccer match!

Fans coming out to Saputo Stadium for a CF Montreal (previously Montreal Impact) will go through a metal detector at the gate’s entrance before entering the stadium. Fans with a bag will undergo an additional security check that includes inspecting their bag. The bag check examines the size of the bag and the content inside of it. Presuming that there are no issues with your bag or items inside of it, you will get it back and be able to head into the venue for the game.

If your bag can’t come into Saputo Stadium with you for a game, your best bet on what to do next is to leave it in your car. Leaving your bag, or any items that can’t enter Stade Saputo, in your car doesn’t cost you extra and provides security to protect your belongings.

If you took public transportation to the game and didn’t have a car to leave your bag in, consider seeing if a nearby hotel can watch your stuff. Hotels, in general, tend to charge a minimal fee to watch bags for fans who are going to the game.
