Riders Field Bag Policy

Riders Field (previously Dr. Pepper Ballpark) is home to the Frisco RoughRiders Double-A Minor League Baseball team at 7300 Rough Riders Trl, Frisco, TX 75034. The Frisco RoughRiders stadium’s bag policy permits fans to bring a single-compartment bag that does not exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″ in size. However, traditional backpacks, fanny packs, coolers, and tote bags can’t come into the stadium with fans.

Here is the complete Riders Field bag policy guide for your next Frisco RoughRiders baseball game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

While no clear bag policy is in place in 2023, bringing in one tends to result in a faster inspection. Below are the different bags you can bring to the game.

  • A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″
  • A clear ziplock-style bag
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags
  • Small clutch purses and wristlets
  • ADA-specific bags
  • A non-clear single-compartment bag no larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ in size

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

The Bag I Recommend

I’ve been bringing my clear fanny pack into stadiums for years without any problems. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size, which tends to make it smaller than what most venues allow. Since the bag is clear and small, I’ve never run into any issue with it during the bag inspection check at stadiums.

Below is my video recommending what clear bag to bring into stadiums.

How Does the Riders Field Security Team Review Bags?

How Does the Riders Field Security Team Review Bags

Fans arriving at Riders Field for a Frisco RoughRiders baseball game will pass a security inspection at the entrance before entering the stadium. Fans with a bag will go through a bag inspection check at the gate. The bag inspection consists of reviewing the type of bag you have, the size of it, and the content within it. If there are any issues with your bag during the review, the security staff won’t allow you to bring it into the stadium.

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Riders Field?

There are specific objects that the stadium staff won’t permit inside during the security check at the gate. Some of those items that can’t come into the venue are below. Please visit the stadium policies page for the full breakdown of prohibited items.

  • A single-compartment bag larger than 16″ x 16″ 8″ in size
  • Backpacks, fanny packs, duffle bags, coolers, large totes, and camera bags
  • Beach balls
  • Animals not for ADA purposes
  • Fireworks
  • Glass bottles
  • Skateboards
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Drones
  • Drugs
  • Outside food and drinks

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Riders Field?

There are lockers on the premise for fans to use if they can’t bring their bag into the stadium. The lockers are at the Lazy River and open up one hour before the first pitch. If you have any questions on where to go, you can ask the stadium ballpark staff or look for signs directing you to these lockers.

Another option to use if you can’t bring your bag into the game is to bring it back to your car and leave it there. Leaving the bag in your vehicle is the best option since you don’t need to wait in line to leave and pick up your bag.

Additional Information for a Frisco RoughRiders Baseball Game

There are multiple parking lots around the stadium for fans during baseball games. The parking lots open up two hours before the first pitch.

Fans can’t bring outside food or drinks into the Frisco RoughRiders stadium. Therefore, eating and drinking during the game must come from getting something from the concession stands. Visit the Riders Field Food guide for more information.
