Q2 Stadium is the home of Austin FC, a member of Major League Soccer at 0414 Mc Kalla Pl, Austin, TX 78758. The bag policy at the soccer stadium at is that only medical bags, childcare bags, and small clutch purses can enter the venue with fans. Outside of that, fans can’t bring any other types of bags into the venue, including clear bags and backpacks. Q2 Stadium has one of the stricter bag policies in Major League Soccer.

How Does the Q2 Stadium Security Team Review Bags at the Entrance?

Fans coming out to Q2 Stadium on gameday will undergo a metal detector screening at the entrance. Fans with a bag will go through a bag inspection at the gate. The security staff at Q2 stadium has a strict bag policy that they follow, so unless you bring in a medical bag or something similar with you, it can’t enter the arena.

 

Does Q2 Stadium Staff Not Allow Certain Items Inside the Soccer Stadium?

Fans coming out to the Austin FC stadium need to be aware that certain items can’t come into the arena with them. Some of those items are listed below, but fans should check out Austin FC’s official policy guide page for the entire list.

 

• Aerosol cans
• Outside alcohol
• Animals (Any ADA-specific animal is approved)
• Balloons
• Fireworks
• Glass bottles
• Laptops, tablets, etc.
• Laser pointers
• Any outside food or drink
• Reusable drink containers larger than 30 ounces
• Skateboards
• Tripods
• Selfie sticks
• Weapons of any kind

 

Is there a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Q2 Stadium?

Due to the strict bag policy at Q2 Stadium, the team has a locker storage area that fans can use to secure their belongings while at the game if they can’t come into the venue with them. The locker rental storage costs $10, but that price can increase depending on the event. Fans can find the rental locker area at the venue’s north and south entries. Also, these locker areas only stay open for one hour after the final whistle.

 

If possible, fans should leave their bag inside their car due to the strict bag policy at the venue. Traditional backpacks and similar bags can’t come into the soccer stadium. Therefore, if you are driving to the venue and realize your bag can’t enter the stadium, consider leaving it in your car so you don’t miss kickoff trying to get a locker.

 

Finally, if you took a rideshare service or some form of public transportation to the game and can’t get a locker to put your bag in, see if a nearby hotel can watch your stuff. There are a few hotels within walking distance of the Austin FC stadium that you can check out.
