Polar Park Bag Policy

Polar Park is home to the Worcester Red Sox (WooSox) Triple-A Minor League Baseball team for the Boston Red Sox MLB team. The bag policy at the ballpark allows fans to bring in small bags that don’t exceed 5″ x 9″ in size. Fans can also bring diaper, medical, and ADA bags into the venue.

Here is the complete Polar Park bag policy guide for your next Worcester Red Sox game.

How Does the Polar Park Team Review Bags?

How Does the Polar Park Team Review Bags

Fans arriving at Polar Park for a Worcester Red Sox game will go through a metal detector screening before entering the stadium with their ticket. Fans with a bag will go through a bag inspection check at the gate. The bag inspection reviews the outside and inside of the bag. Also, the bag check may ask you to take certain items out of your bag for further examination by the security team at the entrance.

Buy a clear single-compartment bag for your next Worcester Red Sox game! While Polar Park does not require bags in 2023 to be clear, more and more MiLB venues are adopting that policy. Therefore, bringing a clear single-compartment bag to the venue won’t result in any issues during the bag inspection at the check. Below are the different types of bags you can bring into the ballpark.

  • A small single-compartment bag that does not exceed 5″ x 9″
  • A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 5″ x 9″
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags
  • ADA-specific bags
  • Small wristlets, purses, and clutch bags
  • A clear one-gallon Ziplock bag

There is no official locker storage option for fans to use at Polar Park. Therefore, if your bag can’t come into the ballpark with you, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there before walking to the stadium.

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag at, see if a nearby bar or hotel can watch your stuff for you. There are plenty of places within walking distance of the WooSox stadium that you can visit to see if they can watch your bag. If they can, most sites charge a small bag-holding fee.

Parking and Food Information for a Worcester Red Sox Game

There are private parking lots and garages within walking distance of the MiLB venue for fans to use for a game. Fans can use SpotHero to find parking options for about $10 a half-mile from the stadium. However, parking rates can increase for certain games and events, so book your parking space ahead to lock in a rate.

The only outside food and drinks fans can bring into the WooSox ballpark are for baby, medical, or religious reasons. Otherwise, if you want to eat at the game, you must get food from the concession stands.
