Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is home to the University of Southern California Trojans football team. The bag policy at the stadium permits fans to bring one clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Fans can also bring a small clutch, wristlet, or wallet-sized bag about the size of their hand in addition to the clear bag into the venue for a game.
Here is the complete Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum bag policy guide for your next USC Trojans college football game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game.
Approved Bags
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has a strict clear bag policy for fans to adhere to. However, there are minor exceptions to this rule that is in place. Below are the different types of bags fans can bring into the venue for a game.
- A clear single-compartment bag that is no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- A Ziplock or similar type of clear bag
- Small clutch purses, wristlets, and wallets that are 4.5″ x 6.5″
- ADA specific bags
- Medical bags
- Diaper bags
My Clear Bag Recommendation
I bring my clear fanny pack (11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″) to college football games these days. To start, I bring this bag to games since it is a clear bag. More and more venues are moving towards (or already have) a clear bag policy in place. Therefore, if I want to bring a bag to the game, I need to bring a clear one. Second, the size of my fanny pack is way below the size limit for stadiums, which means there is no issue getting it through security.
Below is my video recommending what clear bag to bring into stadiums.
How Does the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Security Team Review Bags?
Fans arriving at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a USC Trojans College Football Game will undergo a metal detector screening before entering the stadium. Fans who have a bag will experience an additional security screening at the gate. The inspection ensures the bag is clear, does not violate the size limit rules, and contains no prohibited items. Assuming no problems with your bag, you will get it back to enter the stadium for your game.
What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum?
USC Trojan fans heading to the stadium for a game should know that certain things can’t come into the venue with them. Some items that can’t go into the NCAA football stadium are below. Be sure to visit the building policies page for more information.
- Clear single-compartment bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- Non-clear bags like backpacks
- Hard and soft coolers
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Weapons of any kind
- Laser pointers
- Fireworks
- Banners
- Folding chairs
- Animals not for ADA purposes
Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum?
There is a locker storage area at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for fans to store their bags if they can’t enter the stadium. Walker’s Lockers run the bag check, and it is outside Gate 23. Space operates on a first come and first served basis, so try and arrive about 1-2 hours before kickoff to get a space for your bag if you need it.
Otherwise, if your bag can’t enter the stadium, you can always leave it in your car. For example, if you intend to tailgate in the parking lots and have coolers with you, plan to leave those in your car before walking to the stadium’s entrance. Coolers and similar bags can’t enter the NCAA football stadium with you.
