Lambeau Field is home to the Green Bay Packers NFL team at 1265 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin, 54304. Lambeau Field has a clear bag policy that allows fans to bring in a clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Fans can also bring in small wristlets and clutch purses that don’t exceed 4.5” x 6”5 into the venue as well. However, the carry-in policy does not allow traditional backpacks and coolers into the arena.

Approved Bags
Lambeau Field, like other NFL venues, has a strict clear bag policy that is in place for all fans to adhere to. Therefore, if you want to bring a bag into the venue for a game, make sure it is clear. Below are examples of bags that can come into the arena.
- A clear plastic freezer bag one gallon or less
- A clear single-compartment tote bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” (vinyl, clear plastic, and PVC)
- Any ADA-specific bag
- Stadium seats/seat pads with no zippers that don’t exceed 18”
- A clear fanny pack
- Medical bags and Diaper bags
- Small clutch purses, wallets, and similar types of bags that are no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
My Clear Bag Recommendation
I’ve been to several football stadiums with my clear fanny pack, and I have never had an issue getting it through the bag check process. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is far below the size limit at most venues. Second, the bag itself is clear, so it checks off that clear bag policy box that stadiums now have. Third, on a personal note, I find the bag itself to be comfortable to wear across my chest. Therefore, when I need to bring a bag to a football game, I always bring my clear fanny pack with me.
Below is a video of me going into additional reasons why I like this type of bag.

How Does the Lambeau Field Security Team Review Bags?
Fans coming to the Green Bay Packers NFL stadium will undergo a metal detector screening at the gate before entering the venue. Fans with a bag will have that go through a bag inspection at the gate. The bag inspection inspects the type of bag you are trying to bring in, along with the content inside of it.
What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Lambeau Field?
Packers’ fans coming to Lambeau Field for a football game or another event should know that certain items can’t go into the NFL stadium with them. Some of those items that can’t come into the arena are below. Visit the complete “Know Before You Go” section on packers.com to get the full Lambeau Field carry-in policy breakdown.

- Large purses

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Lambeau Field?
There is no official bag check or locker storage area at Lambeau Field to use if you can’t bring a bag into the NFL stadium. If you can’t bring a bag into the NFL arena, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there.
One tip is that if you plan to partake in tailgating in the parking lots before a game, plan to leave coolers and backpacks in a car before heading to the venue. The Lambeau Field bag policy only allows clear bags into the venue.
Also, if you don’t have a car to leave a bag in, see if a nearby hotel or bar can watch your stuff. Most hotels and bars charge a small bag-holding fee per bag while you are at the game. If you realize your bag can’t come into the venue after reading this guide, plan to stop by a nearby hotel two hours before kickoff to get a spot to leave your bag before available space fills up.
