Kaseya Center (before it was American Airlines Arena and FTX Arena) is home to the Miami Heat NBA team. The bag policy at the basketball arena is that any small bags that don’t exceed 10″ x 6″ can enter the venue. Along with that, small medical bags, diaper bags, and similar bags can come into the venue if they fit the size requirement guidelines.
Here is the complete Kaseya Center bag policy guide for your next basketball game or concert!
How Does Kaseya Center Staff Review Your Bag?
Fans attending a Miami Heat game will go through a metal detector before scanning their ticket at the gate entrance. While the Miami Heat encourages fans not to bring a bag into the venue, you will go through an independent security inspection if you have one. The separate security inspection will review your bag, ensure it fits the size limit guidelines, and contains no items that can’t enter the stadium. Assuming there are no issues with your bag or items, you will be given your bag back to then scan your ticket and head to your seat for the match.
While the Miami Heat encourages fans to refrain from bringing any bags into the venue, there are times when you will need one. Consider purchasing a single-compartment clear bag that fits the size requirement for Kaseya Center. More venues are adopting a clear single-compartment bag policy, so getting one now is the way to go. Below are other types of bags that can enter the facility.
- A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 10″ x 6″
- Small purses
- Small bags (single-compartment fanny packs)
- Medical bags
- Diaper bags
- Any ADA-Specific bag

- Bags that exceed the size of 10″ x 6″. That includes fanny packs, purses, backpacks, duffle bags, etc.

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter Kaseya Center?
If your bag can’t go into Kaseya Center, don’t worry, there are lockers to rent to put your belongings in. The Miami Heat partnered with a company called Binbox Lockers at the South Plaza and P2 garage with lockers to rent. You can download the app ahead of time to secure a locker or ask the staff working at this locker area how to purchase locker storage for your belongings.
If you drove to the game and couldn’t bring your bag into the arena, you could always leave them in your car before returning to scan your ticket. Leaving your bag (or belongings) in your vehicle is the best option since lockers can sell out directly at the stadium for bags.
Also, another bag storage option to consider is a nearby hotel. There are numerous hotels in walking distance of the venue that can watch your bag for a small fee.
