Rio Grande Credit Union at Isotopes Park is home to the Albuquerque Isotopes Triple-A Minor League Baseball team for the Colorado Rockies MLB team. The bag policy at Isotopes Park allows fans to bring in one clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″ in size. Fans can also bring medical and diaper bags into the venue for a game.
Here is the Rio Grande Credit Union at Isotopes Park bag policy guide for your next Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.
Approved Bags
Isotopes Park, like most Minor League Baseball Ballparks, only allows clear bags inside their game venue. However, there are some slight exceptions to the bag policy rule. Below are the types of bags fans can bring into the ballpark.
- A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
- Medical bags
- Diaper bags
- ADA bags
- A clear plastic freezer bag
My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience
I like to bring my clear fanny pack that measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ into stadiums these days for a few reasons. First, the bag is clear, which is what most venues require, like Isotopes Park. Second, the size of my bag is far below the max size you can have at most stadiums. Third, the fanny pack that I have has two compartments, which is helpful for me while I’m at a game. I tend to bring my keys, wallet, chargers, and more in my bag for games that I attend.
Below is my video recommending what clear bag to bring into stadiums.

How Does the Isotopes Park Team Review Bags?
Fans arriving at Rio Grande Credit Union at Isotopes Park will go through a metal detector screening at the gate. Fans with a bag will have that go through a bag inspection at the gate. The bag inspection includes a review of the bag itself, the size of it, and the content within the pack. Assuming your bag is transparent, single-compartment, doesn’t violate the size limit guidelines, and contains no prohibited items, you will get it back to enter the stadium with.
What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Isotopes Park?
Certain items can’t come into Isotopes Park with fans for a baseball game. Some of those items that can’t go into the ballpark are below. Be sure to visit the official A-Z guide of the ballpark to get the most up-to-date information on the banned items list.
- Bottles
- Cans
- Non-clear bags. Exceptions are made here for ADA bags and similar types of bags
- Clear single-compartment bags that exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Isotopes Park?
Rio Grande Credit Union at Isotopes Park does not offer any storage for bags for fans if they can’t bring their bag into the ballpark. Therefore, if you don’t have a clear single-compartment bag, plan on leaving that in your car before walking to the entrance. Otherwise, it will get turned down, and you must bring it back to your car to leave it there before walking back to the venue.
If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if a nearby hotel, brewery, or restaurant can watch your stuff. There are a few places within walking distance of the ballpark that you can visit. Most sites generally charge a small bag-holding fee if they have the space to watch bags for fans going to the ballpark. Also, it is worth noting that the fan assumes all risks of leaving their bag at one of these places while they are at the game.
Finally, to avoid any issues with your bag, try and only bring in a clear-single compartment bag to the ballpark. Otherwise, you might run into issues at the entrance gate during the bag inspection check.
