Globe Life Field Bag Policy

Globe Life Field is the Major League Baseball Stadium home of the Texas Rangers out at 734 Stadium Dr, Arlington, Texas 76011, next to AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys place football. The bag policy at the ballpark is that single-compartment bags that don’t exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″ are acceptable to bring in for a game. Small bags, like purses, are also ok to bring into the venue for a game or concert.

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

Globe Life Field has a similar type of bag policy that most venues I’ve been to have. Even though the venue in 2023 did not require the bag itself to be clear, I still recommend bringing one to games for a few reasons. First, bag policies do change, and more and more venues are adopting a clear bag policy. Second, my clear fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, which makes it smaller than the max size venues permit. Third, I like to wear the fanny pack across my chest as I walk around venues documenting the food. I find that the fanny pack itself is not bulky or too large.

How Does Globe Life Field Review Your Bag?

Fans entering Globe Life Field for a baseball game or another event must go through a metal detector. The security lines split off at the entrance for fans without a bag. If you have a bag with you, the stadium security staff will review the outside and inside it and ensure that the items in the bag can enter the facility.

 

What Items Can’t You Bring into the Texas Rangers Ballpark?

There are many items that fans can’t bring into the ballpark for a Rangers game. Below are things the security staff won’t allow fans to bring as they try to enter the facility. Consider visiting mlb.com to see the list of items that can’t enter the ballpark.

• Bags that don’t fit the bag-size requirements of 16″ x 16″ x 8″
• Camera cases
• Fireworks
• Glassware
• Laser pointers
• Tripods
• Weapons of any kind

 

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the Texas Rangers Venue?

You have two options if your bag is too big to enter the stadium. First, you can bring that bag (and items) to your car in the parking lot and keep it there before returning to the game. Keeping the things in your vehicle is the best, safest, and cheapest way to protect your belongings during a Rangers’ home game.

 

Second, if you took public transportation to Globe Life Field, you must see if a local bar, restaurant, or hotel will hold onto your stuff. A few hotels north of Globe Life Field are a mile away that can hold onto your belongings. These hotels tend to charge a small fee for bag storage while you are at the game. As a note, though, these places can only hold onto your stuff if they have the space available, so it does come on a first-come and first-served basis.
