Dell Diamond Bag Policy

Dell Diamond is home to the Round Rock Express Triple-A Baseball Team. The venue’s bag policy allows fans to bring in one clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ 12″ in size. Fans can also bring in a small non-clear wristlet, wallet, purse, or similar type of bag that does not exceed 5″ x 9″. The only exception to the clear bag and size rule is if an individual needs to bring an ADA or medical bag into the ballpark.

Approved Bags

Dell Diamond, like most Minor League Baseball ballparks, has a strict clear bag policy rule. Therefore, purchasing a clear for a Round Rock Express game means you can bring that same bag to other venues. Below are the types of bags that can enter the stadium with fans.

 

• A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″
• A small clutch bag, purse, or wristlet that fits in your hand (roughly 5″ x 9″)
• ADA bags
• Medical bags
• Diaper bags
• A one-gallon clear plastic bag

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

I try and only bring my clear fanny pack that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ into venues these days for a few reasons. First, more and more venues only allow a clear bag to come into the stadium with guests, so my clear fanny pack checks that box off. Second, my bag is much smaller than what most venues have as their max size. From my experience, I’ve never had a problem bringing in my clear fanny pack into stadiums since it passes both of these tests.

How Does the Dell Diamond Security Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at Dell Diamond for a baseball game will go through a security check before entering the stadium. Fans with a bag will be inspected separately by the venue’s staff at the gate. The staff will examine the inside of the bag, the size, and the type of bag material you want to bring into the venue. A clear single-compartment bag not exceeding 12″ x 6″ 12″ will be permissible to enter the venue with you.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Dell Diamond?

Fans preparing their next trip to Dell Diamond for a game should familiarize themselves with the ballpark’s prohibited items list. Bringing some of these items into the venue will not pass the security check. Be sure to check out the official safety guide for the team to get the most up-to-date information on prohibited items that can’t enter the stadium.

 

• Non-approved bags. Examples of this are backpacks, fanny packs, laptop bags, duffle bags, camera bags, and large purses
• Outside food and drinks (except for one factory-sealed bottle of water)
• Lawn chairs
• Coolers
• Weapons of any kind
• Drugs
• Large posters or banners

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Dell Diamond?

There is no official bag check or locker storage area at Dell Diamond. Therefore, if your bag can’t enter the stadium with you, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there.

 

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if one of the nearby hotels can watch your stuff. There are two hotels within walking distance of the venue that you can visit to see if they can hold onto your bag. Hotels only have limited storage space to hold onto bags, so there is no guarantee they can hold onto your stuff. If they can, you can expect to pay a small bag-holding fee per bag for them to watch.

 

Additional Information for a Round Rock Express Baseball Game

Numerous parking lots surround the baseball field. Parking comes on a first-come and first-served basis for a Round Rock Express baseball game. Parking prices tend to hover around $15.

 

Besides allowing fans to bring one factory-sealed water bottle into the stadium, all other food and drinks can’t enter. Therefore, you must go to the venue’s concession stands to eat and drink at the game.
