Coolray Field Bag Policy

Coolray Field is home to the Gwinnett Stripers Triple-A Minor League Baseball Team. The bag policy at the ballpark only permits fans to bring one clear bag into the venue that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ in size. Along with that bag, fans can also bring in a small clutch or purse that is no larger than 5″ x 9″ in size. While traditional backpacks can’t come into the venue, fans can bring in a diaper bag that is not clear.

Here is the Coolray Field bag policy guide for your next minor league baseball game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

Coolray Field, like most venues in the United States, only allows clear bags in the ballpark. Therefore, purchasing a clear bag today means you can use that same bag to enter other stadiums. Below are the bags that can come into the stadium with fans.

  • A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″
  • A small clutch bag, purse, or wristlet that fits in your hand (roughly 5″ x 9″)
  • ADA-specific bags
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags
  • A clear one-gallon plastic bag/freezer bag
  • The team’s official store also sells approved clear bags that fans can purchase

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

The Bag I Recommend

I’ve had nothing but success bringing my clear fanny pack into stadiums these days. My fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size, which makes it smaller than what most venues allow. Second, the bag is clear, which means it will pass the clear bag policy that venues have today. Third, from my experience, the fanny pack is small enough that I can walk around with it in my hand if I don’t want to wear it. I find this to be important because there are moments where I don’t want to wear the pack across my chest.

Below is my video recommending what clear bag to bring into stadiums.

How Does the Coolray Field Security Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at Coolray Field for a baseball game will go through a metal detector screening at the gate. Fans with a bag will have that go through a separate security inspection at the gate. The bag inspection reviews the type of bag you are bringing in, its size, and the inside content. If there are no issues with your bag, you can bring it into the ballpark.

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Coolray Field?

Fans planning their next trip to Coolray Field for a game should be aware of the prohibited items list for the venue. Below are some items the security team won’t allow inside the arena. Be sure to check out the official guide of the team to get the most up-to-date and complete list of banned items that can’t come into the ballpark.

  • Beach balls
  • Non-approved bags. Those bags include backpacks, duffel bags, drawstring bags, and camera bags.
  • Laser pointers
  • Aerosol cans
  • Glass bottles
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Outside food and drinks. However, fans can bring one factory-sealed water bottle to the venue
  • Lawn chairs
  • Animals not for ADA purposes
  • Drugs

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Coolray Field?

There is no official bag check or locker storage area at Coolray Field. Therefore, if your bag can’t come to the venue, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there.

As a note, there aren’t any hotels within walking distance of Coolray Field to see if they can hold onto your bag. Therefore, plan only to bring in a clear bag that does not exceed the size limit if you plan on using public transportation to the game and won’t have a car to leave your bag in if it can’t enter the venue.

Additional Information for a Gwinnett Stripers Game

Vehicle parking operates on a first-come and first-served basis at Coolray Field. Parking rates range from $10-20 for a parking spot, depending on the event.

Besides allowing fans to bring one factory-sealed water bottle into the venue, all other types of food and drinks can’t enter the stadium. Therefore, if you want to eat and drink at the game, you will need to go to the concession stands at the ballpark.

Visit the Coolray Field Food guide to see what the stadium offers via food and drink options. Also, some of the food and drink options you see may be slightly different from the guide. That is because the venue slightly updates the concession stands each season.
