Citizens Bank Park is the MLB home of the Philadelphia Phillies at 1 Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA, 19148. Regarding the bag policy for coming to a Phillies game, fans can no longer bring in a backpack. The only bags that fans can bring into the Major League Baseball venue is smaller than 16″ x 16″ x 8″. That bag size requirement means that drawstring bags, totes, diaper bags, and fanny packs tend to be what you can bring into the stadium.
Here is the complete Citizens Bank Park bag policy for your next visit. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience
I’ve been to Citizens Bank Park a few times now. One time I went I brought my clear fanny pack to the game that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size. Bringing that clear fanny pack had no problems getting through security, which is why I recommend bringing it to Citizens Bank Park. Also, I’ve brought this same type of bag to countless other venues without any problems. It is my go-to bag because it is clear, small, and isn’t bulky, which is important since I will be walking around with it at games I attend.
Below is a video of me explaining why I bring clear fanny packs to venues these days.

How Does Citizens Bank Park Review Your Bag?
Fans entering the stadium for a baseball game or other event at Citizens Bank Park will need to go through a metal detector. Suppose you bring a bag into the stadium that does not exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″. In that case, it will go through a separate check by the security team to ensure there are no prohibited items and it complies with the bag policy of the Phillies. If the stadium security staff deems that the bag is too big or if there are items that can’t enter the ballpark, fans will either need to surrender those items at the gate or find a place to store their bag and items before getting back in line to enter the venue.

What Should You Do if Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the Phillies Ballpark?
If your bag is too big or you have items that you can’t bring into the stadium on game day, there are lockers you can rent for $10 on Citizens Bank Way to put your bag there. However, these lockers can sell out for specific events, so plan to arrive early at these lockers to get a space for your stuff. Otherwise, you can leave your bag and items in your car if you drive to the game.
