Chase Center Bag Policy

Chase Center is home to the Golden State Warriors NBA team at 1 Warriors Way, San Francisco, CA 94158. The bag policy for a Warriors game or concert at the San Francisco Arena is bags that don’t exceed 14” x 6” x 14″ can enter. The security team, as of 2023, allows any bag to enter the facility, but note that this policy could change as more places move to a clear single-bag policy.

Here is the complete Chase Center bag policy guide for your next basketball game or event! I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

While Chase Center in 2023 allows any bag inside the venue, more places are moving towards a clear single-bag policy, which means Chas Center can follow next. Here are some other types you can still bring into the arena.

  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags
  • Small clear single-compartment bags that don’t exceed 14” x 6” x 14″
  • Small purses
  • Fanny packs
  • A clear fanny pack
  • Small drawstring bags
  • Small tote bags

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

The Bag I Recommend

My friend went to a game at Chase Center and confirmed with me that her clear fanny pack had no problems getting into the venue. The staff reviewing the bag simply scanned the bag itself through the metal detector and gave it back to them. Also, I’ve brought my clear fanny pack (11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″) into TD Garden (Boston Celtics venue) and had no problems getting that through the security check. I’ve also brought this type of bag to countless other stadiums, and never had an issue with it at the gate.

Below is a video of me explaining why I recommend bringing a clear fanny pack to a venue.

Consider purchasing a single-compartment clear bag for your next Golden State Warriors game or another event!

How Does the Chase Center Staff Review Your Bag?

How Does the Chase Center Staff Review Your Bag

Fans coming to San Francisco to attend an event at Chase Center will go through a metal detector at the gate’s entrance. If a fan has a bag with them, then they will hand that over to the security team to review it before it can enter the facility. The bag check reviews the inside and outside of the bag to ensure it fits the size limit and the items within it. The item check is to ensure there are no prohibited items inside it.

Fans looking to attend a Golden State Warriors basketball game won’t be allowed to bring in specific items inside. Some of those items are listed below. However, the Warriors can update their prohibited items list anytime, so consider checking out this link for the most up-to-date information.

  • Backpacks
  • Hard-sided bags, including coolers
  • Any bag that exceeds the size of 14”x6”x14″

What Happens If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter Chase Center?

If your bag, for whatever reason, can’t come in with you to a Warriors game, there is a bag check station on the exterior of Chase Center. The bag check area is at the bike valet area between 16th Street and Terry Francois Blvd. There is a fee to hold on to your stuff here, and it opens about one hour before tip-off and stays open one hour after the final whistle.

If you drove to the game and want to avoid paying for a bag locker, you can always leave your bag in your car if it can’t enter the facility.

Finally, if the locker storage units are all sold out, and you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, consider seeing if a nearby hotel can watch your stuff. There are numerous hotels within walking distance of Chase Center that you can see if they can protect your property. Most charge a small fee to hold onto your stuff behind the main desk in their storage room.
