Busch Stadium Bag Policy

Busch Stadium is the Major League Baseball home of the St. Louis Cardinals at 700 Clark Ave, St. Louis, Missouri 63102. The bag policy at Busch Stadium is that fans can bring bags into the stadium that don’t exceed 10″ x 8″ x 10″. The best bags to bring into the venue are completely clear to help the security team review the items in them, which helps speed up the review process.

Here is the complete Busch Stadium bag policy and more for your next event at the ballpark. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

Here are some approved bags to bring into the MLB ballpark that comply with Busch Stadium’s bag policy.

  • A clear plastic bag that does not exceed 10″ x 8″ x 10″
  • Fanny pack/ clutch purse
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags
  • ADA-compliant bags
  • Drawstring bag
  • Tote bag
  • Soft-sided cooler not exceeding 10″ x 8″ x 10″

My Clear Bag Recommendation

The Bag I Recommend

My clear fanny pack that I bring to venues is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″. While I have not been to Busch Stadium, I imagine that that will allow you to bring in a fanny pack that is one inch bigger than the max width size. I’ve been to venues where the max width size is 10″ and my 11″ fanny pack was able to go through fine. The main thing that security teams look at is if the bag is clear and if it is not way bigger than the 10″ width size limit. However, if you want to be safe, consider bringing a fanny pack that is 10″ or less in width if you are going to Busch Stadium.

How Does Busch Stadium Review Your Bag?

How Does Busch Stadium Review Your Bag

Any fan that wants to enter the Cardinals venue for a baseball game or event must go through a metal detector. If the fan has a bag with them, the security team at the gate entrance will review it to ensure it fits their bag policy rules and has no prohibited items. If there are any issues with the bag or items, the fan can either surrender them directly at the gate or find a place to leave them before going into the stadium.

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the St. Louis Cardinals Ballpark?

If your bag does not comply with the Busch Stadium bag policy, you must leave that in your car before getting in line to watch the ballgame.

If you did not drive your car to the Cardinals game and need to leave your bag somewhere, your best bet is to try some local hotels near the stadium. Most hotels allow fans to leave their bags at the establishment for a small fee. However, most hotels only allow a certain number of fans to take advantage of this, so plan to arrive early to the stadium if you need to go to a nearby hotel to leave your stuff.
