AutoZone Park is home to the Memphis Redbirds Triple-A baseball team. The bag policy at the venue allows fans to bring in one clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ in size. Along with that, fans can also bring in one small clutch bag or purse that does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ and that does not need to be clear. However, traditional backpacks can’t come into the stadium with fans.
Here is the complete AutoZone Park bag policy guide for your next minor league baseball game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.
Approved Bags
The venue has a strict clear bag policy, so plan to bring a completely transparent bag that does not exceed the size limit into the venue. Below are the types of bags fans can bring inside the MiLB ballpark.
- A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- A small clutch bag, purse, or wristlet that does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″
- Baby bags
- ADA-specific bags
- A clear one-gallon plastic bag
- A clear single-compartment fanny pack no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″
My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience
I try and only bring my clear fanny pack that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ into venues these days for a few reasons. First, venues like AutoZone Park only allow clear bags to enter these days. Second, venues like AutoZone Park only permit bags that don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ in size. Therefore, not to run into any problems at the gate, I bring a clear fanny pack that is smaller than the max bag size limit that venues have in place.
Below is my video recommending what clear bag to bring into stadiums.

How Does the AutoZone Park Security Team Review Bags?
Fans arriving at AutoZone Park will undergo a metal detector screening before scanning their ticket for ballpark entry. Fans with a bag will undergo an additional security check to have the staff review it. The bag inspection includes ensuring the bag is clear and does not exceed the size limit. The small clutch bags and purses will also go through a manual security check to ensure no prohibited items are inside. Assuming there are no problems with your bag or the things inside, you will get it back to enter the arena with.
What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into AutoZone Park?
Fans planning their next baseball trip to AutoZone Park should understand that certain things can’t enter the stadium with them. Some things the security team won’t allow inside the ballpark are below. You can check out this link for the most up-to-date and complete list of prohibited items.
- Non-clear bags. (However, fans can bring in small wristlets and similar types of bags that don’t exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″)
- Backpacks
- Animals not for ADA purposes
- Drones
- Outside food and drinks. (However, fans can bring in unopened soft-sided containers, like juice boxes, for medical reasons.)
- Coolers
- Drugs
- Laptops
- iPads
- Laser pointers
- Selfie tickets
- Weapons of any kind
Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at AutoZone Park?
There is no official bag check or locker storage area for fans to leave their bag at if they can’t bring them into the stadium. Therefore, if you have a bag with you that is not clear, plan to leave that in your car before walking to the stadium’s entrance.
If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if a nearby hotel can watch your stuff. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance of the venue that you can check out. Most hotels charge a small bag-holding fee for fans who need a place to leave their bags. Bag storage at hotels does operate on a first-come and first-served basis, so plan to arrive an hour or two before the first pitch to see if they can watch your stuff.
Additional Information for a Memphis Redbirds Game
The Memphis Redbirds don’t own or control the parking lots surrounding their venue. Therefore, you must go to another site to secure parking at the First Park Place Garage ahead of a game. Please visit this link to get your parking space ahead of time.
Fans can’t bring any outside food or drinks into the venue except for medical reasons. However, if you want to eat and drink at the game, there are some great options. Visit the AutoZone Park Food Guide for more information.
