AT&T Stadium Bag Policy

AT&T Stadium is home to the Dallas Cowboys NFL team at 1 AT&T Way, Arlington, Texas 76011. There is a clear bag policy at AT&T Stadium that allows fans to bring in bags that don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Fans can also bring in a small clutch purse into the venue as long as it does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″. Otherwise, the rest of the bags that can enter the Dallas Cowboys venue must be clear.

Approved Bags

Consider purchasing a clear single-compartment bag for your next Dallas Cowboys game! AT&T Stadium follows the NFL clear bag policy guidelines like other stadiums but does allow some non-clear bags into the venue. Those non-clear bags can be small clutches that don’t exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″. Below are the types of bags fans can bring into the arena for a home game in Texas.

 

• A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag / clear zip-seal bag
• Plastic bag
• A clear tote bag
• A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Medical bags, Diaper Bags, and any ADA-specific bag. (While these bags don’t need to be clear, not having a clear bag will result in a longer inspection time at the gate. To limit any issues with these bags, consider bringing a clear bag on the event day.)
• Small clutches and purses. Essentially, if the bag fits the size of a hand, it can enter the venue.

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

I bring my clear fanny pack (11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″) to football games these days. AT&T Stadium, like most football venues, only permit clear bags to enter their stadium. Therefore, I like to bring my clear fanny pack to games when I need a bag for a few reasons. 

 

• It is not bulky
• It is clear, so it checks off that box
• It has two compartments, which allows me to keep my wallet in its own compartment

How Does the AT&T Stadium Security Team Review Bags?

Fans coming to the Dallas Cowboys football stadium for any game or event will first go through a metal detector screening at the entrance. Fans with a bag will undergo an additional security screening at the gate to review their belongings. The bag inspection includes examining the inside and outside of the bag and checking to ensure there are no prohibited items inside. Assuming you have a clear bag and don’t have prohibited items inside it, you will get it back to enter the stadium with.

 

What are the Prohibited Items That Fans Can’t Bring into the Dallas Cowboys Venue?

Fans coming to the Dallas Cowboys stadium for a football game or another event should familiarize themselves with the prohibited items that can’t enter the arena. • Clear bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Prohibited bags. (Backpacks, purses, camera bags, binocular cases, seat cushions, fanny packs, computer bags, coolers, briefcases, and luggage of any kind.)
• Alcohol
• Outside food and drinks
• Tripods
• Selfie sticks
• Animals not for ADA purposes
• Fireworks
• Weapons of any kind

 

Is There a Locker or Bag Check Storage Area at AT&T Stadium?

If your bag can’t enter AT&T Stadium, you can rent a mobile locker unit at parking lots 5 and 9. These lockers go for $20 a bag and come on a first-come and first-served basis. If you feel your bag won’t be allowed inside the venue, plan to head over to lots 5 or 9 before entering the stadium.

 

If you want to avoid spending money on a locker to leave your bag in, you can always keep them in your car. One tip is that if you partake in tailgating in the parking lots before a game and have items like coolers and backpacks with you, plan to leave them in your car before heading to the stadium. AT&T Stadium has a strict clear bag policy, so other bags (like coolers) can’t enter the stadium.
