Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium is home to the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team at 1 Arrowhead Dr, Kansas City, Missouri 64129. There is a clear bag policy at Arrowhead Stadium that allows fully transparent bags to enter the venue as long as they don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Along with allowing clear bags into the venue that don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, Chiefs fans can also bring small clutch bags and wallets into the arena.
Here is the complete bag policy guide at Arrowhead Stadium for your next game or event. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.
Approved Bags
Arrowhead Stadium follows the NFL’s clear bag policy, meaning only clear bags can enter the stadium. Fans can also bring non-clear clutch bags into the venue; otherwise, the bag must be completely clear to enter with you at the gate. Below is the type of bags the security team at the Chiefs’ venue will allow inside.
- A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag / clear zip-seal bag
- A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- Medical bags, Diaper Bags, and any ADA-specific bag. (Also, it is worth noting that medically necessary items are allowed inside these bags. That also includes things like breast pumps and other supplies.)
- Seat cushions that don’t contain pockets
- Portable chargers
- Small clutches and purses
My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience
I bring my clear fanny pack (11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″) to football games these days. Venues today only want to permit clear bags, so my clear fanny pack checks that box. Another reason why I like the clear fanny pack is that it is light and not bulky, which means it doesn’t annoy me as I walk around with it. Plus, I can wear it along my chest without being uncomfortable. Finally, what I like about my clear fanny pack is that it has two different compartments to store my stuff in, which makes it easy to grab my wallet when I need to at a game.
Below is a video of my going into more details as to why I recommend this type of bag.
Consider purchasing a clear single-compartment bag for your next Kansas City Chiefs football game!

Is There a Locker or Bag Check Area at Arrowhead Stadium?
If your bag can’t come to the Kansas City Chiefs stadium, you must leave it in your car. One tip is that if you partake in tailgating in the parking lots before a game, consider leaving all bags behind in your car before getting in line at the gate. The stadium security staff only allows clear bags to enter the venue unless you must bring a non-clear medical bag. To avoid running the risk of missing kickoff, leave your bags and coolers in your car after tailgating before getting in line to enter the stadium.
If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in for a KC Chiefs game, see if one of the two hotels near the venue can watch your stuff. Most of the time, hotels watch bags while fans are at a game for a small fee. Using a hotel to protect your bag is a good idea if you plan to fly out after the game back home and need somewhere to store your luggage while you are at the gate. Hotels can only watch bags if they have the space to do so, so plan to arrive two hours before kickoff to see if they can do that for you.
