Amon G. Carter Stadium Bag Policy

Amon G. Carter Stadium is home to the TCU Horned Frogs college football team. The bag policy at Amon G. Carter Stadium permits fans to bring in a clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ 6″ into the venue. Fans can also bring in a small clutch purse that does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ in size too. However, traditional backpacks and coolers are not allowed inside the venue.

Here is the complete Amon G. Carter Stadium bag policy guide for your next TCU Horned Frogs college football game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game.

Approved Bags

Amon G. Carter Stadium has a strict clear-bag policy, but minor exceptions exist. Below are the types of bags that fans can bring into the stadium.

  • A clear plastic tote, plastic, PVC, or vinyl bag no bigger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • A clear plastic (gallon) bag
  • Any ADA-specific type of bag. As a note, this may result in a more extended check at the gate if this is not clear
  • A small clutch purse, wristlet, wallet, or something similar that is no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ in size. As a note, these small bags don’t need to be clear, and they can come into the venue in addition to your clear bag

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

While I have not been to Amon G. Carter Stadium, I have been to several college football stadiums that have the same clear bag policy. From my experience, I have not had any issues bringing in my clear fanny pack that measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size. Most security teams do a visual check of it at the gate since it is not very big, which means I get into the stadium faster. Plus, I like how the fanny pack is not bulky, which means I can walk around the stadium with it and it is not uncomfortable.

Below is my video recommending this type of bag in more detail.

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Amon G. Carter Stadium?

If your bag can’t come into the stadium with you for a game, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there. One tip is that if you plan on tailgating before a game, leave those bags and coolers in your car before walking to the venue for the game. Coolers and traditional backpacks can’t come into the stadium with you, but they are perfectly acceptable to bring to the parking lots for tailgating.
