American Family Field Bag Policy

American Family Field (previously Miller Park) is the Major League Baseball home of the Milwaukee Brewers out at 1 Brewers Way, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214. The bag policy at American Family Field allows clear single-compartment totes that don’t exceed 12″ X 12″ X 6″ into the stadium. Also, smaller bags, like purses, that don’t exceed 9″ X 5″ X 2″ can enter the venue. However, fans should be aware that multi-compartment bags like backpacks, drawstring bags, laptop bags, and other similar items are prohibited from entering the stadium for a game or event.

If you are going to a Milwaukee Brewers game and need to bring a bag, consider getting a clear plastic bag with a single compartment that does not exceed 12″ X 12″ X 6″.  Below are some other types of bags that fans can bring into the MLB ballpark that fit within the bag policy rules.

• Diaper bags that don’t exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
• One-gallon clear bag
• A clear tote bag/drawstring
• A clear fanny pack

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

I try and only bring my clear fanny pack that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ into venues. I’ve been to American Family Field and can confirm that they only want clear bags into the venue. I did notice that a few fans had a clear fanny pack with them along with other traditional single compartment clear bags.

How Does American Family Field Review Your Bag?

Fans must enter Miller Park for a game or event through metal detectors at every gate entrance. If you have a bag, you will go into a different metal detector with a table to put your bag on as the security staff reviews it. The stadium security staff will review the outside and inside of the bag and check the items to ensure it doesn’t violate their prohibited items list.

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the Milwaukee Brewers Venue?

If your bag is too big to enter American Family Field, you can leave them in your car in your parking lot before getting back in line to enter the stadium or see if a nearby hotel or restaurant will watch your stuff. Some nearby hotels are less than a mile from the stadium and generally charge a small fee to protect your belongings. However, fans should remember that hotels can only hold onto your stuff if they have space.

 

If you doubt your bag can enter the stadium because of the bag policy rules, consider leaving it at home.
