Husky Stadium (Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium) is home to the Washington Huskies college football team. Since opening in 1920, the venue has gone through numerous renovations to enhance the game day experience for fans coming in for a game. One of the more overlooked changes to the stadium in recent years is the improvement to the food and drink choices the venue has to offer at its concession stands. Since the venue is in Washington, you can expect to find local cuisine, including sushi and salmon burgers.

Can Fans Bring Outside Food or Beverages into Husky Stadium?

According to the team’s 2022 prohibited item guide, fans can bring a single serving of food (like a protein bar or something similar) into the venue. Also, any medical food and liquids can come into the stadium. Finally, one factory-sealed water bottle can enter the venue for a game. All the outside food will be inspected at the gate, so put these items into a clear bag.

Be sure to visit the team’s prohibited items section before heading to the venue to ensure the rules remain the same.

Can You Tailgate Outside the Washington Huskies Venue?

Tailgating before a Washington Huskies college football game is part of the fun of coming to the venue for a match. Fans can tailgate in front of or behind their vehicles in the parking lots. Charcoal grills and tents are accessible to bring to the parking lots to tailgate. Make sure whatever coolers, grills, and tents you bring to tailgating go back into your car before heading to the venue since those can’t enter the stadium for a game.

Also, there will be things outside the venue outside of traditional tailgating in the parking lots. Before kickoff, fans will find plenty of pop-up tents selling drinks, food, and more.
