TQL Stadium Bag Policy

TQL Stadium is home to the Major League Soccer Team, FC Cincinnati, at 1501 Central Pkwy, Cincinnati, OH 45214. TQL Stadium has a clear bag policy that states that bags can’t exceed 12″ x 6″ 12″. However, the venue’s staff does allow small clutches or other similar bags into the venue as well, even if they are not clear. Clutches and similar purses can’t exceed the size of 6″ x 9″.

Below are other types of bags that can enter TQL Stadium on matchday.

 

• A clear one-gallon freezer bag
• Small clutch bags that don’t exceed the size of 6″ x 9″
• Medical bags/diaper bags
• A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ 12″

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

While I have not been to TQL Stadium for a game, I have community members who have. They have shared with me that bringing a clear bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ 12″ into the stadium won’t be problematic. For me, I always recommend bringing a clear fanny pack to venues these days. The fanny pack that I bring into stadiums measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is below the size limit at most stadiums. Another reason why I recommend bringing a clear fanny pack to venues is that it is easy to carry and is not bulky.

How Does the FC Cincinnati Staff Review Your Bag?

Fans coming to TQL Stadium to see FC Cincinnati must go through a metal detector before scanning their ticket to enter the facility. Fans who have a bag with them will go through an additional security check where their bag will be inspected. The bag inspection at TQL stadium reviews the size of the bag and the items inside it. Assuming there are no problems with your bag or the things inside of it, you will get it back and be allowed to enter the facility with it for the match.

 

What Items Can’t You Bring into TQL Stadium for an Event?

If you plan on attending an FC Cincinnati match, check out the official prohibited items list for the venue. Below are some items that fans can’t bring into the soccer stadium for any event.

 

• Aerosol cans
• Animals not for ADA purposes
• Any bag that is larger than 12″ x 6″ 12″ (However, there are exceptions to this rule if you need to bring in something for a medical reason)
• Fireworks
• Laser pointers
• Selfie Sticks
• Laptops and similar types of devices

 

What Happens If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter TQL Stadium?

If your bag can’t enter TQL Stadium with you, there are lockers that you can rent at the stadium for your stuff. The locker rental area is at the grand staircase on Central Parkway. As a note, there are a limited number of lockers that you can rent to put your bag in, so plan to arrive early to the stadium if you feel that your bag (or items) may not be able to enter the stadium.

 

If you drive to TQL Stadium and can’t bring your bag (or items inside of it) into the stadium, you can always leave them in your car. Leaving items in your vehicle is the best solution to avoid paying for locker storage.

 

Finally, if you take public transportation to TQL Stadium and there are no lockers to rent, you can always see if a nearby hotel can watch your stuff. Most hotels charge a small fee to hold onto your things while you are at the soccer game if they have space in their storage closet.
