Paycor Stadium Bag Policy

Paycor Stadium (previously Paul Brown Stadium) is home to the Cincinnati Bengals NFL team at 1 Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Paycor Stadium has a clear bag policy in place, which means that fans can bring in fully transparent single-compartment bags as long as they don’t exceed 12” x 6” x”12” into the venue. Along with allowing fans to bring in a clear single-compartment bag into the Bengals Stadium, fans can also bring in non-clear clutches that don’t exceed in size of 4.5” x 6.5”. Otherwise, any other type of bag fans want to bring into the stadium must be clear and only have a single compartment.

Approved Bags

Paycor Stadium, like other NFL venues, only allows clear bags to enter. The only exception to this clear bag policy rule is that fans can bring a medical bag or a small clutch into the venue on game day. Below are the different types of bags that fans can bring into the venue for their event.

 

• A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• 1-gallon size freezer bag/clear plastic bag
• Clear purses
• Medical bags, Diaper Bags, and any ADA-specific bag
• A clear fanny pack
• A small clutch bag / small clutch purse

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

I use the same clear bag to get into football stadiums for a reason reasons. First, the bag is clear, which means that it gets through stadiums that have a clear bag policy in place. Second, the size of my fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, which means it is far below the max size limit that venues allow. Third, I find that my fanny pack is not too bulky to wear, which is important since I tend to walk around stadiums wearing it across my chest.

How Does the Paycor Stadium Security Staff Review Bags?

Fans coming to Paycor Stadium for an NFL game or another event will undergo a metal detector screening at the entrance. Fans who have a bag with them will have that go through an individual security check at the gate. The bag security check ensures the bag is clear, is single-compartment, does not exceed the size limit, and does not contain any prohibited items. If you have a small clutch non-clear bag with you, that will also go through the bag inspection process at the gate.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into the Cincinnati Bengals Stadium?

Fans coming to Paycor Stadium for a game or event should know that certain items can’t enter the venue with them. Some of those things that can’t go into the stadium are below. Consider visiting the official prohibited items list of the Bengals to see the entire list. As a note, the prohibited item lists changes yearly, so visiting that link will give you the most up-to-date information.

 

• Non-clear bags. (Backpacks, camera bags, computer bags, fanny packs, cinch bags, briefcases, seat cushions with zippers, luggage bags, duffle bags, and coolers)
• Bags that exceed the size of 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Animals not for ADA purposes
• Noisemakers
• Recording equipment
• Tripods
• Outside food and drinks
• Umbrellas
• Weapons of any kind

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Paycor Stadium?

If your bag can’t come into Paycor Stadium with you for a game, you have two choices on what to do next. First, you can return the bag (or prohibited items) to your car and leave them there. One tip is that if you tailgate in the parking lots before a football game, consider leaving those bags in your car before heading to the stadium. Coolers, traditional backpacks, and more can’t enter the stadium, so leave them in your vehicle before heading to the game. Otherwise, you might miss kickoff if you have to return to your car after getting turned away at the entrance with your bag.

 

Second, you can see if a nearby hotel or restaurant can watch your bag before heading to the game. There are numerous bars and hotels within walking distance of the stadium. Most hotels (and bars) charge a small fee to hold onto bags and can only do so if they have the space in their closet. If you know that your bag can’t come into the stadium with you, consider visiting a hotel or bar to drop off your bag there before heading to the game.
