Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium is home to the Division 1 college football team, Stony Brook Seawolves. The bag policy at the venue permits fans to bring a bag to the game if it goes through a bag check inspection at the gate. As of 2023, no rule requires the bag to be clear or a specific size. However, from my experience of going to stadiums, I encourage fans to bring a clear bag for a few reasons, which I will highlight further in this article.

Fans heading to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for a college football game (or any game) can bring bags to games. As of 2023, there is no official clear bag policy in place, so the type of bag you can bring is a bit relaxed. However, more and more college football venues are adopting a clear bag policy so that this rule can change.

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience
I personally bring a clear fanny pack to games for a few reasons. First, my clear fanny pack is clear, which helps it go through the bag check process quickly. I’ve brought laptop bags and backpacks to games, and it takes longer for the security team to review them.
Second, my bag is clear, and more and more venues are adopting a clear bag-only policy. While this venue does not have that rule in 2023, I still recommend bringing in one if you can. I’ve never had an issue getting my clear bag into any stadium, so I bring it wherever I go.

How Does the Stadium Staff Review Your Bag?
There will be two lines at the entrance for fans with and without a bag. Fans who have a bag with them will have that go through a bag check inspection at the gate. The bag inspection may ask you to remove certain items from the bag to help with the inspection.

What Happens if Your Bag Can’t Enter the Stadium?
While rare, there are instances where a bag might not be able to enter the stadium with you for a game. If you run into any issues, you will need to bring the bag back to your car and leave it there before heading back to enter the stadium.
