How Does the Hadlock Field Security Team Review Bags?

How Does the Hadlock Field Security Team Review Bags

Fans arriving at Hadlock Field for a Portland Sea Dogs baseball game will go through a metal detector screening at the entry gate before entering the stadium. Fans who have a bag with them will have a stadium security official inspect it and the content inside of it. As a reminder, the team encourages fans not to bring any bag into the stadium unless it is a diaper bag or something similar. If you try and bring a personal backpack into the game, the security staff won’t allow you to enter the ballpark with it for a game.

Buy a clear single-compartment bag for your next Portland Sea Dogs game! It is best to bring a clear single-compartment bag to the game if you need to bring a diaper bag or something similar. The clear bag will result in a faster bag inspection at the gate, so you get into the stadium quicker for a game. Below are the different types of bags that can come into the stadium.

  • Diaper bags (need to have an infant or child with you). As a note, you can bring in a clear single-compartment bag that contains what is usually in your diaper bag to speed up the bag inspection at the gate
  • Medical bags
  • ADA-type of bags
  • A small clutch, wristlet, or purse that does not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ in size

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans at Hadlock Field?

There is no on-site locker storage at the Portland Sea Dogs Stadium for fans to store their bag if they can’t bring them into the venue. Remember, the team encourages fans to leave all bags at home (or in a car) if they are not for medical reasons. Therefore, if you have a personal backpack, you won’t be allowed to bring that into the stadium with you.

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag at, see if one of the nearby bars or restaurants near the stadium can hold onto it while you are at the game. If a bar or hotel has space to watch a bag, they tend to charge a small bag-holding fee.
