Camelback Ranch Bag Policy

Camelback Ranch Stadium Bag Policy
Camelback Ranch is the spring training ballpark home for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox. As of 2024, the bag policy allows only clear bags to enter the venue with fans. The clear bag policy only permits bags up to 12″ x 12″ x 6″ in size. However, there is an exception to the clear bag policy if you need to bring in a medical bag/diaper bag. Those bags will go through a more extended inspection at the gate, so consider putting everything in a clear bag if you have that option for a faster bag inspection check.

Here is the complete bag policy guide at Camelback Ranch for your next spring training game. As a note, there is an affiliate link on this page.

Approved Bags

Below are some different types of bags that can enter the facility for a spring training game. Buy a single compartment approved clear bag for your next spring training game!

  • A clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
  • A clear fanny pack
  • Medical bags/diaper bags (you must have a child with you during the bag inspection to bring this bag into the arena)
  • ADA bags
  • Small clutches/wallets
  • Strapless clutch bags that don’t exceed 5″ x 9″

My Clear Bag Recommendation for Stadiums I Visit

I prefer to bring my clear fanny pack into stadiums since getting it through security has never been an issue. Since Camelback Ranch only permits clear bags into the venue, bringing a clear fanny pack is a wise choice.

My Clear Bag Recommendation for Stadiums

When I go to different stadiums and need to bring a bag, I tend to opt for my clear fanny pack for a few reasons. Watch the video for the complete breakdown.

How Does the Staff Review Bags at the Gate?

All fans entering the venue for a game will go through a metal detector screening first. Fans with a bag will go through an additional security check at the gate, where the bag will be inspected. The inspection can combine a metal detector screening and a visual inspection. To limit any issues with your bag at the gate, only bring a clear bag that does not exceed 12″ into the venue. Also, don’t have any prohibited items inside your bag since that can stop your bag from entering the stadium.

What are the Prohibited Items?

Certain items can’t come into the stadium with fans for a game. To get the complete list of prohibited items, you can visit the official link from MLB.com. Below are some items you can’t bring into the venue.

  • Aerosol cans
  • Animals not for ADA purposes
  • Banners
  • Cans
  • Glass bottles
  • Hard-sided coolers
  • Non-clear bags
  • Outside food and drinks (however, fans can bring one factory-sealed water bottle into the venue with them)
  • Clear bags larger than 12.”
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Umbrellas

What Should You Do If Your Bag Can’t Enter the Venue?

If your bag (or items inside) gets denied during the bag inspection at the gate, you have a few options to consider.

  • You can bring that bag (or items) back to your car and leave it there before getting back in line to enter the venue
  • You can throw away that bag (or items) at a nearby trash can
  • There is a Comfort Suites Glendale hotel is about 2.5 miles from the venue. You can see if they can watch your bag. Usually, hotels charge a bag-holding fee for people to use this option.
