Autzen Stadium Bag Policy

Autzen Stadium is home to the University of Oregon Ducks college football team. There is a clear bag policy in place at Autzen Stadium that permits fans to bring one clear tote bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ into the venue for a game. Fans can also bring a seat cushion into the venue that is no larger than 17.5″ in width. However, traditional backpacks and large purses can’t enter the stadium on game day.

Here is the Autzen Stadium bag policy guide for your next Oregon Ducks college football game. I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game.

Approved Bags

Autzen Stadium has a strict clear-bag policy, but there are exceptions to the rule to know about. Below are the different types of bags that fans can bring into the venue on game day.

  • A clear plastic tote, plastic, PVC, or vinyl bag no bigger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • Small clutch bags that don’t exceed 6.5″ x 4.5″. Essentially, you want these bags to be about the size of your hand. Also, they don’t need to be clear and can come in with your clear tote bag
  • A seat cushion (with or without a back) no larger than 17.5″ in width and contains no pockets or zippers
  • One clear gallon-size plastic storage bag
  • A clear fanny pack / clear drawstring bag
  • ADA type bags

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

The Bag I Recommend

Whenever I go to a college football game, I only bring my clear fanny pack that is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ into venues. I use the clear fanny pack because it is smaller than the recommended size, so there won’t be any issues getting it through the security check. Plus, the fanny pack itself is not very big, so it is not bulky or annoying to carry around with me.

How Does the Autzen Stadium Security Team Review Bags

Fans arriving at Autzen Stadium for an Oregon Ducks college football game will pass through a metal detector screening prior to scanning their ticket to enter the venue. Fans with a bag will undergo an additional inspection at the gate. The bag inspection consists of reviewing if the bag is clear, does not exceed the size limit, and contains no banned items that can’t come inside the arena. If there are any issues with your bag or the things inside, you won’t be allowed to bring it into the stadium for a game.

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at Autzen Stadium?

If your bag can’t come into the stadium with you for a game, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there. Remember, traditional backpacks and coolers are fine for tailgating in the parking lots, but they can’t come into the venue with fans for a game. Therefore, plan to leave any non-clear bag in your car after tailgating since they can’t go to the stadium for a game.
