When Did the Rockies Stadium Open?
Coors Field (Home of the Colorado Rockies) opened up on April 26th, 1995. Before playing in Coors Field, the Rockies played at Mile High Stadium from 1993 to 1994 which is a football field. Mile High Stadium is the home of the Denver Broncos who are an NFL team.
Where is Coors Field Located?
Coors Field’s location is in lower downtown Denver, Colorado in the United States. The exact address of the venue is 2001 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80205. One unique feature of the park is that it is 1,600 meters above sea level, so there are purple seats in the upper deck that represents being one mile above sea level. The location of the park is close to Mile High Stadium where the Broncos play and Pepsi Center where the Denver Nuggets (NBA) and Colorado Avalanche (NHL) play. The Rockies open their gates about 90 minutes before the first pitch. Watching batting practice may be difficult, so fans should arrive early at the gates to get into the park as soon as it opens.

The Rockpile out in the center field bleachers is a fan favorite. The seats are far away from the action, but this was done to honor the time when the Rockies were playing at Mile High Stadium. At Mile High Stadium, the Rockpile was out in the south stands and very far away from the action.
