Xcel Energy Center is home to the NHL Minnesota Wild team out in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. The arena’s address sits at 199 Kellogg Blvd W, Saint Paul, MN 55102. In addition to hockey games, Xcel Energy Center hosts many concerts and events year round too.

Here are the parking tips and more at Xcel Energy Center.

Official Parking around Xcel Energy Center

There are two parking ramps that connect directly to the venue for fans to use. They are the RiverCentre Parking Ramp and the Kellogg Parking Ramp. Along with that, there are several other parking garages and lots that are nearby for fans to use. You can click on this link to see the entire parking map that surrounds Xcel Energy Center.

Also, parking rates at these locations will vary in price.

How Much is Xcel Energy Center Parking?

I’ve been using SpotHero for years to save money on parking when I travel. From my experience, I save at least 30% on parking (usually) when I choose to park at a lot that is 10 minutes away from the arena I’m going to. In my opinion, most of the official lots are overpriced and take too long to get out of after a game due to the foot and car traffic at the arena. My recommendation is to park a bit further away from the venue, take the savings on parking, and buy food and drinks there.

ADA parking spaces are available at the RiverCentre Parking Ramp for fans to use at Xcel Energy Center. Fans will need to present a valid placard and license plate to leave their cars in the handicap spaces. Handicap parking can fill up quickly for events, so fans should use SpotHero above to reserve a parking space before driving to the venue. Finally, fans can use Gate 1 to pick up and drop off fans at the arena. The official drop off area at the stadium is on 175 West Kellogg Boulevard.

Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

There is no tailgating at the venue’s parking lots, but there are plenty of bars nearby to visit before a game. Some bars include The Liffey Irish Pub, Maharaja’s Gifts, and Patrick McGovern’s Pub. Finally, fans also visit Tom Reid’s Hockey City Pub, The Lobby Bar, Parlour Bar St. Paul, and Original Coney Island before and after a game.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

Fans looking to take public transportation to the venue can use the Metro Transit Bus. The Metro Transit Bus Lines services the Saint Paul downtown area, so it’s easy to move around. In addition to the bus, fans can use a rideshare program like Uber and Lyft to get to the venue.
