U.S. Bank Stadium is the new home to the Minnesota Vikings NFL team. The new stadium sits out on 401 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55415. In addition to professional football games, US Bank Stadium hosts many concerts, events, and was the host of the 2018 Super Bowl.
Here are the parking tips for U.S. Bank Stadium
Official Parking at the Stadium
There are several official parking lots that surround the Minnesota Vikings Stadium to use on gameday. You can visit the team’s official parking page to learn about the hours of the parking lots and much more. If you are looking to purchase parking directly at the stadium, you can visit this link from SeatGeek.
My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero
From my experience, it is worth checking out the prices on SpotHero before you purchase your parking passes. I’ve saved money by parking in an unofficial lot further away from stadiums I visit. The main benefit of using SpotHero is that the parking prices tend to be much cheaper than what the official lots go for.
The main disadvantage of parking in an unofficial parking lot is that most don’t allow tailgating. I highly recommend reading what the unofficial parking lot allows and does not allow if you also want to tailgate before a game. If you have difficulty finding an unofficial lot that allows tailgating, you should probably buy the official parking at the stadium.
U.S. Bank Stadium Handicap Parking
There are ADA sparking spaces available for all Vikings NFL games at the football stadium. Vikings fans will need to show a valid parking pass and state-issue license plate to leave their vehicles in the ADA parking lots. Handicap parking may fill up quickly for certain events, so fans should use SpotHero above to reserve a parking space. Finally, fans can head to 10th Avenue S between 6th Street S and 7th Street S for drop offs and pick up of guests.
Can you Tailgate at Vikings Stadium?
Tailgating in the parking lots at US Bank Stadium is popular before each home football game. Fans can show up at 7:00 AM for noon games, or 5 hours early in general to set up their tailgating space. In addition to 12:00 PM games, tailgating opens up six hours before game.
Finally, fans can head over to the local bars before or after a game. Popular bars near the football arena include Pog Mahone’s Pub and Grill, Eagle Botl Bar, and Town Hall Brewery.
Check out the U.S. Bank Stadium Food guide to know what to get before entering the stadium! Also, be sure to visit the U.S Bank Stadium Bag Policy guide to see what bags fans can bring into the arena.
Should I Take Public Transportation to U.S. Bank Stadium?
Fans looking to take public transportation to Vikings Stadium have a few options to consider. There are 180 bike racks for fans to use if they want to bike to the football field.
In addition to using bikes to get to the venue, fans can take the light rail to U.S. Bank Stadium. There are multiple bus routes throughout downtown Minneapolis for fans to take to get to the arena too. Finally, fans can also use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena.
