TD Garden Parking

TD Garden (The Garden) is the home to the Boston Celtics NBA and Boston Celtics NHL team. The arena’s address, out in the North End of Boston, sits at 100 Legends Way, Boston, MA.  In addition to basketball and hockey games in Massachusetts, you will find many concerts and events at the arena year round to enjoy.

Here are the parking tips for TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Also, I share my personal parking recommendations in this article.

Official Parking around TD Garden

The North Station Garage is underneath TD Garden and is the best parking option if you want to be directly at the arena. I personally don’t recommend parking here because the parking is expensive and it will take forever to drive out of since everyone will be walking by it on the sidewalk. If you want to learn more about this garage, you can visit the official TD Garden Parking page

My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

I’ve lived in Boston for over six years and used SpotHero numerous times to save money on parking there. Parking rates directly next to TD Garden are extremely expensive, and fans driving to the arena tend to park in these areas because they follow other cars to these lots. Parking rates at the North Station Garage start at $60 in 2023 and can go up from there.

My recommendation on parking is to use the SpotHero listing above and reserve parking that is 10 minutes away from the venue. Boston is a very walkable city, so you will be close to TD Garden no matter where you park. Try to park in the North End so you can head to a bar or pick up a pastry after the event at TD Garden since your car will be in this area. The North End has incredible food and pastries, so you will save money on parking and get something tasty.

Also, you can find parking in Charlestown, but that is more of hike to TD Garden. Charlestown may have cheaper than the North End, but the walking distance is going to be closer to 15-20 minutes.

How to Book Your Parking on SpotHero

In this video below, I share how easy it is to book your parking on this service!

TD Garden Handicap Parking Spots

TD Garden parking lots all have ADA spaces for fans to use for any event. Fans will need to display a valid parking pass to leave their cars in ADA spaces. ADA parking fills up quickly for certain events, so use SpotHero above to reserve a parking space before your next visit.

Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

There is no tailgating in the Boston parking lots at TD Garden, so fans visit the local bars before a game. Fan favorite bars include the Greatest Bar Boston, Sullivan’s Tap, Tavern in the Square, and The Harp. Finally, fans also visit  McGaan’s Irish Pub, Porters Bar and Grill, and Paulaner Bier Garden before and after a game.

Check out the TD Garden Food guide to see what is on the menu when you visit next! Also, be sure to visit the TD Garden Bag Policy to see what you can and can’t bring into the arena.

Should you Take Public Transportation?

should you take public transportation to td garden
Fans looking to use public transportation to TD Garden can use the MBTA.  The T (MBTA) connects to North Station via the Green and Orange lines, so it’s accessible to different parts of Boston. Fans can also take the T to Government Center and walk to the venue from there.

In addition to the T, fans also take the commuter rail directly into North Station from the North Shore. I’ve taken that from Salem and a few other places and it tends to be the best way in and out of the venue.

Finally, fans can use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena for any event. One tip is to call the Uber a few blocks away from TD Garden. The traffic around this stadium becomes brutal before and after a game.
