Footprint Center (formerly known as Phoenix Suns Arena, Talking Stick Resort Arena, the American West Arena, and US Airways Center) is home to the NBA Phoenix Suns team. It’s also home to the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers Arena Football team. The arena’s address is at 201 E Jefferson St, Phoenix, Arizona 85004. In addition to sports games, you will find many concerts and events at the arena year round.

Official Parking around Footprint Center

 

There are multiple parking lots and garages that are all near Footprint Center to use for a match or concert. There is a 700-space parking garage next to the arena that is for suite holders. For non-suite holders, there is the Jefferson Street Garage that you can use. You can purchase parking directly next to the venue using this link from ParkWhiz. My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

From my experience using SpotHero, I find better parking rates than what is directly next to a venue all the time. Most of the time, the parking options on SpotHero are about 30% less than what the parking garages and lots next to a venue go from. Since I’m ok with walking 10-15 minutes from a parking lot to a stadium, I tend to always use this option. Plus, there is less foot traffic around these parking lots, which means there is not as much congestion leaving this area after a game since most people park directly next to the stadium.

Using the app and website is straightforward. I’ve been using the service for years and have not had a problem. You just purchase the parking space you want, show up to that location, and then scan the barcode either as you enter or leave the lot.

 

Talking Stick Resort Arena Handicap Parking Spots

ADA parking spots are at Jefferson Street Garage at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Fans will need to present a valid handicap placard to park in these parking spaces. ADA parking spaces can fill up quickly for certain events, so use SpotHero above to reserve parking before your next visit. Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

There is no official tailgating that takes place at this venue’s parking garages, but plenty of bars are around in downtown Phoenix Arizona to visit before and after a game.  Some bars include Crown Public House, The Whining Pig, and Lustre Bar. Finally, fans also visit Little Rituals, Majerle’s Sports Grill, and Bar Smith before and after a basketball game.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

There are plenty of ways to move around downtown Phoenix Arizona via public transportation. Fans can use the Lucky Express Shuttle, which runs every 30 minutes throughout the city. Another public transportation option is to use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena.
