Crypto.com Arena (previously Staples Center) is home to the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers NBA teams. Staples Center is also the home to the NHL Los Angeles Kings and the Women’s Basketball team, the Los Angeles Sparks. The arena’s address, out in downtown Los Angeles, is at 1111 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015 United States. In addition to sports games, Staples Center hosts many events year round at the venue for fans to enjoy.

Here are the parking tips to consider when driving to the venue for an event!

Official Parking around Crypto.com Arena

There are numerous parking lots owned and operated by the NBA arena to use on gameday. In fact, there are over 3k official parking spaces and even more outside the venue. Visit the official website of the venue to see where these parking lots are located.

My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

From my experience, I save about 30% on parking when I use SpotHero when I’m traveling and need a place to park. For cities like LA, you will find plenty of unofficial parking lots, all within a ten-minute walk to the venue. I’ve found the app and website extremely easy to use, and the process is very straightforward. You purchase your parking using SpotHero and scan the barcode when you get to or leave the parking lot or garage.

I recommend SpotHero to anyone attending games since the entire process becomes expensive. If you can save money on parking, you can use the difference to get food and drinks during the game.

The ADA parking lots are at West Garage, the East Garage, and Lots 4, 8, 9, and 1 at Staples Center. All vehicles need to display a current state-issue disability placard or license plate for parking. ADA parking can go quickly for certain games, so use SpotHero above to reserve a parking space before your next event.

Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

There is no tailgating at the venue’s parking lots, but there are plenty of bars to visit before or after a game in downtown Los Angeles. Some bars include Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Nest, and the Mixing Room. In addition to those bars, fans also enjoy going to Impact Sports Bar and Grill, Ion Rooftop Pool Bar, and Glance Lobby Bar.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

There are public transportation options for fans to use when going to and from the venue. Fans can use the bus routes 30, 81, 439, 442, 460, and the Silver Line to get to and from Staples Center. The Metrolink has excellent weekend services running for $10 throughout California.

Another option to consider getting to and from the venue is cycling. You can leave your bike in the P1 level of the East Garage.

Finally, fans can use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena. The pick-up and drop off areas are where the “no stopping” signs are on the road near the venue.
