Spectrum Center Parking

Spectrum Center (formerly Time Warner Cable Arena) is home to the NBA Charlotte Hornets team. The arena’s address, out in uptown Charlotte, is at 333 East Trade Street in North Carolina. In addition to basketball games, you will find plenty of concerts and events at the arena year round.

Here are the parking tips for the venue!

Official Parking around Spectrum Center

There are numerous parking lots and garages all around Spectrum Center to use for a game or event. Parking rates around this venue tend to vary in price depending on multiple factors. Visit the official Spectrum Center parking page for the most up to date information.

My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

I’ve been using SpotHero for years to save money on parking. Whenever I travel to a venue, I like to review the prices on SpotHero to get a baseline as to how much parking is going for. Most of the time I can find parking that is about 20-30% cheaper than what is being featured directly next to the arena. My tip is to park about 10 minutes away from the venue since the walk won’t be bad and you will save money on parking compared to what the lots next to the arena go for.

For ADA parking, you should use SpotHero above to reserve a parking space before driving to the venue. ADA parking is at a first come and first serve basis. so plan ahead before driving to the arena. In addition to ADA parking, fans can use the official pick-up and drop-off area when coming to the stadium for events. The location of the pick-up and drop-off area is on Fifth Street, which is outside the main entrance of the venue.

Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

Can you Tailgate at Spectrum Center

You can tailgate in the parking lots at Spectrum Center before any basketball game. In addition to tailgating in the parking lots before a basketball game, fans usually venture to the local bars before or after a game. Some popular bars near the venue include Rooftop 210, Howl at the Moon Charlotte, K Lounge, and Tin Roof.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

There are plenty of public transportation ways to move around uptown Charlotte to get to the venue. Charlotte’s primary bus Terminal, Charlotte Transportation Center, sits directly next to the stadium. Street Trolleys also pass by the site via the Charlotte and Gold Rush Trolleys, so that is an option too. The bus and the trolleys are all a short walking distance to 333 e. Trade st, so many fans use this to get to the arena.

Finally, fans can also use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena.
