KeyBank Center (previously Marine Midland Arena, HSBC Arena, and First Niagara Center) is home to the NHL Buffalo Sabres team and Buffalo Bandits lacrosse team. The arena’s address sits at 1 Seymour H. Knox III Plaza, Buffalo, New York 14203.

Here are the parking tips for your next Keybank Center event!

Official Parking around KeyBank Center

Fans that want to park directly next to the venue can do so at the KeyBank Center Parking Ramp between Perry Street and Illinois Street. There are also surface lots that fans can park at that run along Perry Street and South Park Ave. Parking rates will vary depending on the event and where you end up parking.

Visit the KeyBank Center Parking Map to see where you can park.

My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

I’ve been using SpotHero for years to save money on parking. Most of the time I can save about 30% on parking using SpotHero compared to what the lots directly next to an arena are going for. If you don’t mind walking ten minutes or so to the venue from your parking space, you should give the service a try.

There are handicap parking options in the surface lots on Perry Street between Michigan Street and Mississippi Street for fans to use for games and events. Handicap parking comes on a first-come basis, so it’s best to arrive early events. Fans will need to present a valid parking pass and placard to keep their car in the handicap spaces as a heads up.

Can you Tailgate in the Parking Lots?

Can you Tailgate at the Buffalo Sabres Stadium

Fans can head over to the tailgating tent that is in the plaza outside of the venue to partake in the festivities. The tailgating tent will sometimes have live music, heat, drinks, food, and more to purchase, so arrive early. Tailgating begins two hours before all home hockey games in the parking lots at the venue.

Check out the Keybank Center Food guide to see what you can get at the venue. Also, be sure to visit the KeyBank Center Bag Policy guide to see what bags fans can bring into the arena.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

There are a few public transportation options for fans to use to get to and from the venue. Fans can take the Metro Rail to and from the arena. One thing to remember is that children under four ride free, and the hours of operations will adjust for most Sabres games.

In addition to the Metro Rail, fans can use a rideshare program like Uber or Lyft. The Uber pick-up and drop-off area at the venue is located on Scott Street.
