Fans entering the stadium on game day will go through a metal detector at the Target Field gates. Fans with a bag will have the stadium security staff inspect the outside and inside of the bag to check for prohibited items. If the bag is bigger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ or if items can’t enter the stadium, fans will need to surrender those belongings before entering the stadium. Otherwise, they must put that bag or things in their car, the storage locker at Gate 6, or another place.

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the Minnesota Twins Ballpark?

If your backpack is too big to get into the Twins game at Target Field, you can get a locker near Gate 6 and at the Target Field Station. These lockers come on a first come and first served basis, so plan to arrive early to the game if you have any concerns that your bag may not be allowed inside the venue.

If no lockers are available at Gate 6 and Target Field Station, you can leave your bag and belongings in your car. Leaving your belongings in your vehicle is the safest and best option if you drive and park directly at the stadium.

However, if you took public transportation to the game, you can see if a nearby hotel will hold onto your bag in their storage area. Numerous hotels in the Downtown West District are less than a mile from the stadium, so head over there to see if they will take your bag. Hotel bag storage also comes on a first-come and first-served basis.
