Harbor Park Bag Policy

Harbor Park is home to the Norfolk Tides Triple-A Minor League Baseball team for the Baltimore Orioles MLB team. The bag policy at the ballpark permits fans to bring in a clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″ in size. Fans can also bring in one non-clear clutch bag as well that does not exceed 5″ x 7″ in size.

Harbor Park, like the majority of professional sports venues, only allows clear bags to come into the venue with fans. However, there are some minor exceptions to the clear bag policy. Below are the different types of bags that can go into the stadium with fans.

• Diaper bags
• Medical bags
• ADA bags
• Small clutch bags that don’t exceed 5″ x 7″

I’ve been to venues that have the same bag policy as Harbor Park. From my experience, I’ve never had an issue bringing my clear fanny pack into stadiums. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size.

How Does the Harbor Park Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at Harbor Park for a baseball game will go through a metal detector screening at the entrance before scanning their ticket for entry. Fans with a bag will have that go through an additional inspection at the gate. The bag inspection reviews the bag type to ensure it is clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and does not exceed the size limit. Also, the bag inspection will check its content to ensure it does not violate its prohibited items list.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Harbor Park?

Fans planning their next visit to Harbor Park should familiarize themselves with the team’s prohibited items list. Below are some items the security staff won’t allow fans to bring into the arena with them. Visit the team’s official prohibited items list page for the most up-to-date information.

 

• Non-approved bags. Backpacks, grocery bags, laptop bags, mesh bags, luggage, bags, and drawstring bags
• Clear bags that exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″
• Beach balls
• Coolers
• Weapons of any kind
• Skateboards
• Laser pointers
• Outside food and drinks. However, fans can bring one factory-sealed water bottle to the venue
• Drugs

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Harbor Park?

There is no official on-site locker storage area at Harbor Park for fans to store their bag. Therefore, leave any backpack, cooler, laptop bag, and so on in your car before walking to the stadium. Those types of bags can’t come into the venue with fans.

 

If you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, see if one of the many hotels surrounding the ballpark can watch your stuff. Fans should understand that hotels are not affiliated with the team. Therefore, leaving your bag at a hotel, if they allow it, means that the fan assumes all risks if anything happens to it.

 

Parking and Food Information for a Norfolk Tides Baseball Game

Numerous parking lots surround the baseball stadium that fans can use to park. Parking rates hover around $5 but can increase depending on the event. Parking also operates on a first-come and first-served basis.

 

Fans can only bring one factory-sealed water bottle into the stadium with them. Otherwise, all other outside food and drinks can’t come into the ballpark with fans. Therefore, if you want to eat at the game, you will need to get something from the concession stands.
