Fifth Third Field Bag Policy

Fifth Third Field is home to the Toledo Mud Hens Triple-A Minor League Baseball team for the Detroit Tigers MLB team. The bag policy at Fifth Third Field only allows small clutches, diaper bags, ADA bags, and medical bags into the venue that don’t exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″. Otherwise, traditional backpacks and laptop bags can’t come into the venue for a game.

Approved Bags

Using a transparent bag as a medical or diaper bag will help the stadium security team review it faster at the gate, so you get into the stadium quicker. Also, most Minor League Baseball ballparks only permit clear bags into their venue, so getting one now gets that into more places if you plan on traveling. Below are the types of bags that can come into the stadium with fans as long as they don’t exceed 16″ x 16″ x 8″.

 

• ADA bags that don’t exceed
• Medical bags that don’t exceed
• Diaper bags (Consider getting a clear bag to help speed up the security inspection at the gate)
• A one-gallon clear plastic bag

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

Even though Fifth Third Field does not require a clear bag, I still like to bring it for a few reasons. First, bringing in a clear bag for a bag check results in a faster inspection. Second, more and more venues are adopting the clear bag policy, which means that the rule can change at this venue. Third, carrying a clear fanny pack in your hand isn’t so bad because it is small. The size of my clear fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size.

How Does the Fifth Third Field Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at Toledo Mud Hens Stadium for a baseball game will go through a security check at the entrance before entering the stadium. Fans who have a bag with them will have that item go through a separate security inspection at the gate. The security inspection reviews the bag’s content and the type of bag you are trying to bring into the venue.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into Fifth Third Field?

Fans preparing for their next trip to the Toledo Mud Hens ballpark should be aware that certain things can’t come into the stadium with them. Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area for Fans to Use at Fifth Third Field?

There is no official bag check or locker storage area at Fifth Third Field for fans to store their bag at. Therefore, if your bag can’t enter the stadium with you, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there.

 

However, if you don’t have a car to leave your bag in, don’t worry. There is a nearby hotel (Homewood Suites by Hilton Toldeo Downtown) where you can see if they can watch your bag. Most hotels generally charge a small bag-holding fee for fans if they need to watch their bag for them. If you need to store your bag somewhere, plan on getting to this hotel 1-2 hours before the first pitch to see if they can watch your stuff.

 

Parking and Food Information for a Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Game

Over 6k parking spaces are all within walking distance of the ballpark. Parking prices vary, but you should expect to pay a few dollars for a parking space. Also, parking operates on a first-come and first-served basis.
