Climate Pledge Arena Bag Policy

Climate Pledge Arena is the National Hockey League home of the Seattle Kraken at 334 1st Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109. The facility is also home to the Seattle Storm team, a member of the WNBA. The bag policy at the venue is that clear single-compartment bags that don’t exceed 14″ x 14″ x 6″ can enter the facility. Along with that, fans can bring small wallets and purses that don’t exceed the size of 4.5″ x 6.5 ” too.

Here is the complete Climate Pledge Arena bag policy guide for your next hockey game, basketball match, and more! I also share my bag recommendation on what to bring to the game. Finally, there is an affiliate link to Amazon on this page.

Approved Bags

While Climate Pledge in 2023 does not have a clear bag policy, more and more venues are moving in that direction, so getting one now is an intelligent choice. Here are some other bags that can enter the Seattle Krakens/ Storm facility.

  • Any clear single-compartment bag that does not exceed 14″ x 14″ x 6″
  • Small clutches
  • Small purses
  • Clear fanny packs
  • Medical bags
  • Diaper bags

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

The Bag I Recommend

I had a community member bring a clear fanny pack to Climate Pledge Arena from my recommendation and had no problems bringing that into the venue. She said that the security staff had her remove a few things from the pack during the bag check. Otherwise, there were no problems bringing a clear fanny pack to the game. Also, from my own experience, I’ve never had an issue getting my clear fanny pack through any stadium bag check. My clear fanny pack measures 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″ in size.

Below is a video of me explaining why I recommend bringing a clear fanny pack to your next game.

Upon scanning your ticket at the entrance gate, all fans must go through metal detectors. Fans with bags will be inspected individually by the security team working at the gate. The bag inspection will review both the bag’s outside and inside. If there are no issues with your bag or the content inside, you will get it back from the security team, and you can proceed with scanning your ticket for the game.

What Happens If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter Climate Pledge Arena?

If your bag can’t enter with you for a Seattle Kraken match, you must bring it back to your car and leave it there. From there, you must get back in line to go through another security checkpoint to enter the stadium.

If you don’t have a car to put your belongings in because you took public transportation to the game, your next best option is to see if a nearby hotel will watch your stuff. There are plenty of hotels (and restaurants) within walking distance of the Seattle Kraken facility to visit. Most charge a small fee to watch your stuff, but it is best to carefully read the bag policy guide of Climate Pledge Arena so you don’t have to use this option.
